Street Triple R 765 2017 Dash has failed

Went to turn my street over yesterday and when I turned the ignition key, heard the fuel pump but no display. Traced the issue to a blown 10A fuse. Replaced the fuse and every time I connect the battery the fuse blows. Disconnected everything and then re-connected 1 at a time. Fault seams to be with the clocks as when I connect them and insert the fuse it blows even without the ignition being on.

Any help would be appreciated as been told the clocks are £750 + VAT from Triumph.

Also if I change the clocks do they have to be re-mapped to the ECU?

Are you sure it's not just a wire problem leading to the clocks?

xorbe, Yep checked all the wiring. Got my replacement clocks today and it is now working like a dream. Just annoyed that they have gone at just over 3 years old.

Open up the old one, see if you can spot an obvious problem! Is the odo still correct? (ie, is the odo storage in the ecu or the clocks)

Hope to be able to open up the original failed one.

Unfortunately the ODO stays in the clocks not the ECU so it is now over reading by about 1.5K

Was this a TFT cluster that failed?

Yah I think 2017 765 R had a TFT

Yes it was the TFT that had failed.

This has just happened to me and have been told it's the dash and needs to be replaced. Did Triumph come to the party or did you have to pay it? I've got an early
2018 TST 765R

Not the greatest news, even when TFT looks great while not riding on the motorcycle, R's dash has much less issues and it's very clear to read.

the same for me! 765R MY2017 and TFT dead.
Did anyone sort out it?
Is there any repeair possible or only replacement with a hell expensive new one?

Repair not possible as sealed unit. I tried to get that done at electronics place, but no. HOWEVER, Triumph NZ have honoured my failed dash (now well out of warranty) as they are very aware this is an issue (wait for the recall....you know it's coming....). Write to Triumph and tell them what has happened to yours, and that you are aware of others etc. Good luck!!
