Hello out there! Would my 1971 TR6R with a boyer ignition and a solid state rectifier still need to use the zener diode? If not can I remove the connection from the new wiring loom? Thanks.

If you have a regulator/rectifier you do not need the zenor. If you only have a rectifier you will need the zenor. Double check (if you have no history) the wiring going to and from the unit before you remove the wiring for the zenor.
Thanks Webby. A curious thing, the last time I checked charging voltage I had over 15 volts. The zener diode is not hooked up. Maybe this explains the high voltage.
