I intend to buy a windshield.
I've seen a Triumph and a Puig windscreens online but I would appreciate hearing about your choices and photos of your windshield on your bikes.

It worked better than the stock Long Haul, a Dart fly screen, and a large Clearview shield. If you want the wind blast mot to hit you and go over your helmet, the screen has to be tall enough. The top of the shield should come up to the tip of your nose so that you can see over the shield to a point on the road 50 ft in front of the bike. Then there is the buffeting, which you get with most shields on a naked bike. The Madstad is designed to allow a small flow under the shield which flows up along the inside of the shield. You get some of it in your face. This equalizes the pressure behind the shield and reduces buffeting.

Here’s my bike with the Triumph Long Haul (AKA Touring) screen and with the Clearview screen.

I think you’ll find that your level of satisfaction with any of these screens is going to depend on your torso length, how you sit on the bike and your tolerance for wind noise. I’m 6’4” so the Triumph screen does a great job of keeping the wind off my chest but not my neck and head. The Clearview screen deflects the wind blast to upper part of my helmet but at the cost of increased wind noise.

The Clearview made sense for me because it uses the same mounting brackets as the Triumph screen which I already had. I think the Madstad screen is probably a better choice because it’s adjustable and can be quickly removed.

Thanks Pudge, I really appreciate your screen photos.
PS what brand are your side cases (Triumph) ? they look like they might cramp the space for two up.

Originally, I had ordered the Triumph screen when I bought my bike, but it was backordered for months (along with other parts due to supply chain issues at the height of Covid).

So I went in another direction.. I wanted to remove buffeting from my helmet. At 6' 1" with a long torso, I needed a tall screen. I got the 22" Madstad quick release shield for my 2021 Bonneville Speedmaster. I believe they make shields for most Bonnevilles. The shields are highly adjustable-- up, down, and at variable angles. I played with mine until I got it just right at the highest level. No buffeting. Interestingly, I found that even one inch lower produced uncomfortable buffeting on the top of the helmet. They offer screens at multiple heights, and they tell you how to measure to get the correct height for you. As you can see, there's a gap between the headlamp and lowest part of shield to help equalize air flow.

I also have a shorter quick release roadster screen for shorter day trips. It's the last pic, and this Mini HD screen is from a company called Slip Stream. I like the retro look. It's fine for short freeway rides, but if you're going to be high speed for a long time or taking a multi-day trip, I opt for the Madstad and the better protection it offers. Good luck on your search. Let us know what you decide and put up pics. Happy Trails, DBrian

I went with the Parabellum aftermarket shield. That and the highway set-up from Triumph works well for me, 5'8"tall/31+ inseam btw. Tried the factory large screen and found it poor for highway speeds/coverage lacking and wind noise. Only issue found on Parabellum is I wanted to adjust tilt, I fixed for me by getting stainless bar stock same thickness as theirs and cut a new bend shape to fit what I needed, then painted black to match original.

Thanks Dave, the Parabellum definitely is worth a look for me, I appreciate your photos :geek:. (your garage is awesome)
PS: How do you and especially your wife find the comfort of the King & Queen seat ?
and is it much higher than the stock/standard seat ?

Old Bike, I have a Parabellum 22" clear I want to get rid of if you're interested.
Thanks Frank but I can't buy any goodies right now. If you saw my "T120 test ride" thread I'm still waiting on my dealer to get me the new T120 I'm ready to buy.

( " Are T120's in short supply ?
I notified my Triumph/Indian dealer on April 25 that I decided to buy the 2023 T120 Bonnie,
he replied Saturday April 29 that he "I will work on securing you (me) a Red/Silver T120" that I asked him for. " )
This is May 8th - and no new T120 Red/Silver in for me yet. Still waiting
But appreciate your offer.

My Blue/White Bonnie came in yesterday, my wife and I checked it out and I signed the P&S.
We’re picking it up tomorrow afternoon. 🤓 🤪 👍🏼
Last night I ordered a Puig Ranger shield and the R&G frame sliders from Revzilla

Congratulations. I hope you have a lovely summer riding it solo and two-up.

The Ranger windshield look like a good solution. It appears to be the same size as the much more expensive Triumph Touring screen.

When you pick it up check the chain tension and ask one of the techs if that is how it is meant to be set. Every time i check one in the showroom it is always set quite tight.

I received my Puig Ranger this afternoon, hope to install tomorrow, but the mounting instructions leave a lot to be desired. They are more of an illustration with a parts list but no instructions.
I went on Puig and Revzilla, neither had any more detailed instructions than was supplied with shield.
The lower clamp diameter looks like it is smaller than my fork tube. I'll take a better look at all the hardware tomorrow. Any tips would greatly be appreciated.

After my disappointment with the Puig Ranger shields protection,
Post: Puig Ranger Windshield Install (2023 T120)
Today I ordered the Parabellum Sport/Touring windshield. I ordered the clear one @ 22".
I liked DaveL's photos of his.
When I get it and road test it, I will post my results.

I received my Parabellum Sport/Touring shield yesterday, I went with the 22" height.
I installed it today, pretty straight forward, came with simple illustration assemble sheet.
The only area I had trouble with, was when tightening the lower windshield bracket to headlight bolts on either side, it would slightly rotate the headlight up or down. I'm glad I recorded the headlight angle with my Starrett protractor before starting the install. (Bike on center stand). Rain today, waiting to test ride.

6/25!23 I took a good test ride today, the new shield is very good. Wind blocked very good at chest and face, I like my open face helmet so this was good. Wind hits top of my helmet area but not uncomfortable at all. I rolled mostly 45 - 60 mph but ran it up to 80 with no increase noise or pressure. The height is just right for me (at 22”) just at eye level . I’m 5’ 9” ( at 80 yrs now more like 5’ 8” ) Now with Triumph bags.
