Does anyone know where to buy Mobil 1 Racing 4T oil in the UK? Preferably online...I've done a search and come up with one place that only sells it in 16litre quantities http://www.oil-store.co.uk/ and as usual, everything's at rip-off prices in the UK!

Wow Frank, seems expensive! here's a quote from a privious thread I posted.

You dont have to worry who makes the oil, the main thing is that it has a high API specification and that it is a motorcycle oil. (no friction modifyers added to f@ck up yer clutch)

I use Q8 oils Moto SBK Racing 10W-50 API SL, Jaso MA
I buy it in 25L barrels from an oil distributor and it works out about half the cost of buying it from dealers or shops.

Best regards Stretch.
PS I live in the UK
PSS Suzuki GB Rizla Racing team use it, its what I've always used in my thou, Hayabusa.

Frank - you could try Halfords got a feeling it was about ÂŁ30/4 litres

I decided to go for Castrol Power 1 Racing 4T 10w-40 was a couple of quid cheaper

Woody - unfortunately we don't have Walmart over here, else Rotella it would be

Thanks guys. Prices here really are scandalous for a lot of things. So much of what we pay is tax. I can order basic parts from the US and, with high shipping rates, it's still cheaper than buying here in old Blighty. That's why I'm thinking of emigrating. That and the weather!

I think there are so many differing opinions on things such as oil, chain wax, jetting etc that I end up stumped. We all want what's best for our engines and one man's wonder potion is another's poison. Perhaps it's a reflection of the commercialisation of everything - each product becomes 'the best' depending on who's doing the selling.

Walmart own ASDA here, but I haven't seen Rotella. Walmart probably own Triumph too, come to think of it...

Sky, I looked in Halfords. They said they don't stock the Mobil1 Racing 4T stuff. I've used Silkolene 10W 40 full-synth for my last change, so I have time to look around at the oils suggested here.
