Has anyone replaced there crap OEM Metzeler tyres on a GT yet? Wondering if anyone has fitted Michelin Road 6? I previously had Road Trail 5's on a Tiger 800 XRT that were a fantastic tyre particularly in the wet.

I have tried anakees and tkc70 ROCKS. The TKC70 ROCKS are much better than the anakees. The stock tires are horrible. I have not tried trail max missions but from what I have heard tkc70 rocks and trail max missions are the best choices. I have read that the trail max missions are hard to mount and the regular tkc70 (non-rocks) the rear end can slip in water with its sold center band. The anakees are also very noisy (lug howl over 55mph).

Hello Rusty, what is your evaluation of the TKC70 Rocks? I am interested in understanding mileage, track (gravel) and asphalt. I am planning a trip to Iceland with good 5000km of highway and a 1000-1500 km gravel with some streams crossing. Anakees were an option but I also heard they are very noisy. Any feedback from colleagues about Pirelli Scorpion Rally? Thank you

EDIT: did not realize this was such an old thread...

If you're doing any off-roading

I'm on an RP.... loved the Dunlop Trailmax Missions. Very good/capable on the road and very good off road (just don't expect much in mud/sand). Switched to Motoz "knobbies"....awesome off-road, but not fun on road. I'm currently trying out Dunlops new Raid ADV tire which is more dirt oriented than the Trailmax Missions.

How are you finding the Trailmax missions on wet roads? I see some very poor reviews of the tyre in the rain.

My rally pro will need new tyres in the next few months and either the Missions or Karroo streets are on the list. My off roading is limited to gravel trails but something with a little more grip on dirt than the standard tyres would be good. The reports on the Missions indicate they last well and I do about 8-10,000 miles per year. Wet road performance is important as it rains a lot here in the UK.
