I'm doing my own services so I want to turn off the wrench light as the dealer won't do it.

Is there a way to get that done?

You did not mention what type of bike you have but you can try this.

Press and hold down the "Info" button, turn ignition "on", observe window in left display until you see "dtc", release the info button as soon as you see "dtc". A code will follow with "P" and four digits. P0000 = no faults.

Also, If the error is non-critical, it should reset after about 4 or 5 starts cold.

Heck! Thanks for that. Great information. I have been wasting massive amounts of time trying to get to the bottom of my MIL light on my 2016 Triumph Street Twin. Brought it out of a winter and Lockdown hibernation and there is the orange light on the dash. Bought a Lonlec cable and it won't connect with TUNEECU. Tired for hours. NOBODY but YOU - Not Haynes manual either said the Street Twin can read its own fault codes!!! Brilliant - You - not them?

The fault I have turns out to be P0030 which apparently means my O2 heater on the left side of the bike isn't working - either open circuit or short to earth. Fortunately, that is not a mission critical issue, as from what I understand it only operates when the engine is cold to bring emissions down quickly. That exhaust pipe heats up very fast, so I can't imagine why they bothered. I will have a look at the wiring and measure the resistance and ensure connectivity.

Meanwhile, I have a duff oxygen sensor heater and a non functioning Lonlec / Tuneecu problem. If I had seen your post before I ould have saved a lot of time and some money and would only have one problem. 😆

I downloaded the TuneECU app onto a cheap Samsung tablet that was on the approved list for the APP. I have ordered two cheap OBDII bluetooth scanners off of Amazon and have had no luck connecting with either. I bit the bullet and ordered the one recommended by the TuneECU webpage so hopefully once that arrives this week I can finally turn off the wrench that has been there the past two years.

I'll be checking tune ecu site this week.
Took my t120 over Sat and asked the dealer to reset the wrench. Geeeesh, I should have asked how much first. I know tools and scan devices are expensive but a simple process shouldn't cost that. Lesson learned.

It takes less than 5 minutes to reset the light. When a dealer tries gouging me like this I cease to do business with them. Ever. And then I write them a letter that goes basically like "I bought a new bike from you and you made a good profit on it. You would have had my business for service and accessories ongoing but since you decided that it would be a good idea to gouge your customers by charging (insert amount) for a 5 minute indicator reset I have made the decision to cease doing business with you. I hope it was worth it."

The tool ins't expensive. They use it on every new bike that comes in. They don't need to amortize the cost by charging each customer an amount of money equal to nearly the price of a new tool. That's ridiculous. It would be like them charging you $15 to tighten a license plate screw in order to cover the cost of the screwdriver.

@tony1951 Thanks for the compliment but I am just the guy that saw that information on another Triumph site and held on to it just in case. Glad you fixed or found your issue.

Well thanks anyway - you passed on a great tip there.

I should clarify my remark about the Lonlec Cable which I said doesn't work. My bike is not compatible. It says so in a confusing way somewhere on the TUNEECU website. I asked Lonlec for some help and they told me the late Tirumph twins can only use bluetooth, and they have already posted the bluetooth adaptor to me. Great service. I expect it to arrive today and I have the cable in its envelope beside me now and will return it to them this morning through the post. An excellent company to deal with.

Make sure to let go of the info button as soon as the "dtc" shows. I am not sure what the -2P15 means but most likely it means that you held the info button to long. .

Or maybe not. Triumph DTC codes

And nothing wrong with my brake light.
You may have an intermittent fault in the brake light. Have someone riding behind you watch for it. On my old Intruder a guy told me my brake light was out during a ride, but when we checked it at a rest stop it was fine. When I got home I looked into it and found a loose wire. Easy fix but I would have never known it if my buddy would not have pointed it out.

Got the mx + bluetooth gadget yesterday.
Located the diag connector under the seat and plug it in. Got it paired to my phone and opened the tuneecu app. Picked the triumph sagem I think. Seemed to work perfectly.
Took a ride with the app open and watched, seems like a good diag tool with the info available. Checked for codes, none present.
I left it plugged in to the bike, I'll tinker with the app at lunch time this week.
Right now might thought is, great investment. I'm sure 1 trip to the dealer for a check engine light would be more than the device and app cost.
Oh, my bike is a 2020 Bonneville t120.
