I tighten my rear wheel nut tight, but have now got a torque wrench...

So I looked in my owners Triumph handbook, and brilliant - it states eccentric clamp bolt torques. As I don't have these it is useless - rang Triumph - and hopeless , rang 2 dealers.

results of 3 calls:
85 Nm
120 Nm
nice and tight

Well last one was my previous approach - and as I also have an old Tiger Cub, maybe he was right - sling the torque wrench!!!!!

Any answers welcomed.
cheers

 Hey KuzzinKenny. On the Torque info stickey post you suggest 110 nm for 05, & 06.

Recently had my dealer fit the 19 tooth front sprocket. On picking up the bike it made a high pitched whine. After 20 miles on getting home I found the chain way to tight. To adjust I had trouble undoing said axle nut. A swing bar and me swinging finally undone it. No torque wrench but 'nice and tight' and all is back to normal.

The 19 tooth sprocket is just what I needed. Great on the highway and I dont really notice much difference around town other than I am not looking for seventh!

Guess I should do me own servicing I spose. :hammer:

yep that sounds about right - lots of differing advice on this - I phoned Triumph warranty twice, spoke to 2 different guys and got 2 different answers.

If you have eccentric clamp then you're OK, and Triumph know your bike.

For an 05-06 then official Triumph advice is
85Nm
and
110-120Nm
depending on which day of the week you ring.

If Triumph read these maybe - they would like to produce an owners handbook for this model.
