Yeah I have the bench seat with the rear rack. You do have to modify the seat it make it work. There's a few threads on here that go into it. Basically you take out some of the plastic bracing on the underside of the seat. Really easy to do. I used my soldering iron since I was lacking better tools to do it, got the job done still.

Hi
I have just had fitted to my Street Scrambler a OEM top box carrier (Part Number: A9758306) & was told by the dealer that I had to have the dual seat fitted to make it work!
I had a look at how it was fitted whilst in the workshop & saw that it uses the same fitting points as the passenger seat/small luggage plate hence the reason they say you need the dual seat.
On closer inspection I noticed that if you use some allen bolts 1cm longer than the original bolts used to secure the rear frame fairing/Plate - Seat mount it works perfectly fine :thumb

This is a point of confusion because told me I couldn't put the luggage rack on the bike without the bench seat. Then I read it doesn't work with the luggage rack , yet they sell the long seat for the Street Scrambler specifically. It all comes down to bolts as the above poster found out.

Here's the funny thing. My luggage rack came with the long and short allen bolts needed to fit the luggage rack to the frame points with the standard pillion seat/aluminum rack plastic bits still in place . It is a bit fiddly to line up everything and torque them down evenly so as not to screw the body work below whichever seat combo you choose but trust me when I say, you can use any seat or seat /aluminm rack you wish without modifying anything if you use the correct fasteners .

I may have to eat my words when my new chocolate seat comes in I ordered so I'll get back to you or edit this post if I can not make it work just fine.

cheers

BTW any one know how you add photos from my apple photo app to this forum ? Normally in most forums I just transfer the jpg direct to the attachment on the post but it doesn't look like that is possible on this forum .

Can Do

I've had many versions of application for the OEM rack for SS including mounting a GIVI monkey top box left over from a previous
Bonneville WC model. The GIVI really doesn't go with this bike so I'm in the process of working out a way to have the legend left side bag install Got it on last night to see how it looks but had to remove the rack for now, I will need a different bracket and drill two threaded rivets into the rack to mount the rack onto the bike again.

That said I'm running my SS without the luggage rack for now as it is not as functional as some out there but hanging on to it for now to see what i decide to do . The SS has a cute little luggage rack anyway and the pillion seat is a joke for riding someone so I'm thinking just get a bigger rack that fits the OEM fitment will do nicely for the rare occasion I would need to carry much on this bike.

I do have a new BMW GS with all kinds of bags and top box carrying capacity so this bike is planned use is very limited to sorties not long trips . Had I wanted a triumph for that I'd probably gone with the T 120 .....LOVE the mileage I'm getting though on this one so she's a keeper I think.

cheers

Here's my SS with a Triumph bench seat and TEC rack. I've had it on there for just under a year, and really like the combo. Both the comfort, functionality, and look.
I have the whole OEM SS kit that I'll be looking for a new home for soon - the seat(s), rack, and plastic bits.

I ordered a bench seat direct from Triumph that says it is for the Street Scrambler . Didn't say anything about compatibility with luggage rack but the luggage rack comes with proper fasteners to install it to the bike with the existing two piece seat/pillion seat and the rack comes with four bolts to bolt it to the frame mounts which have to be used if there is no plastic bits and longer screws to attached the luggage rack/pillion seat back on so therefore installing a bench seat should only require replacing the existing seat lock from the forward position to the rear position which has already got the tapped screw holes. I've moved mine back and forth and while it is a bit fiddly if done properly no modifications should be required to mount the bench seat. I currently have the luggage rack mounted with the stock small luggage rack and solo seat in place and other than being cautious about the length of the luggage mounting fasteners everything fits as planned. Note'' if you use too long a screw for the plate to mount the small rack/fender assembly it will skew the plastic bits unevenly and looking from the rear the plastic bits end up all way out of alignment , Found this out the hard way.

I put it all back stock and added the GIVI newest aluminum top case and mounted the rack adapter to the OEM rack . Not happy with that set up but it works OK . When I get my bench seat I will probably use a different luggage rack anyway so I'll post up on that when the time comes .

I'd love to see a photo of your GIVI setup, if you are able to share one.

And why are you not happy with it?

Thanks!

Sold the unobtanium Givi rack I had on my first-gen SV650 and ordered the Givi rack for the Street Twin after reading that it can be mounted on the SS.
(Givi Sr6407 Triumph Street Twin 900 2016)

Now I just have to wait for it to be delivered. Cost was about even money after selling the old one, other than shipping from Italy.

Well that was weird.

Fiddling about with drag and drop and it posted the picture for me.

Any of you guys able to see it also?

I will try others.

Just for grins.

I took this picture today just for grins and figured some of you guys might be as jaded as I , so by all means comment on when is it ''TOO MUCH "" gear for safe travel.

I set up everything I used to take on my BMW GS when I went on long tours. Never had any idea I would ever do that with my SS but just had to see how much I could pile on.

Decided I might want to change the name of my SS from Lean Mean McQueen , to " LITTLE MULE" LOL

cheers

I found that for my camping use the 350 model holds everything I need and is much easier to manage . Rode 8000 miles last Spring from Georgia to Oregon and back in a big loop including Canada and the 350 sat on the Pillion seat ahead of the top case on my BMW R 1200 RS. I was kind of pushing me into the tank most of the trip on the RS and I am glad I did not take the 600 model along as that particular bike is short on seating. Just a little advice hope it was helpful.

I camp with one air/foam ground mattress , sleeping bag Big Agness two man ten with fly and Footprint and not much else . It all goes in the 350 SW Motech bag with room for my compression pillow and a pee can . The two panniers and top box handle all the other duties, With the SS, If I were serious about traveling a long way , I'd stay in hotels . LOL

Street Scrambler Side Bag

Seems Triumph could make a killing if they offered a rack to put a nice Givi case on the left side. I went with the SW-Motech, pretty clean setup. It's the SYS-Bag 10L. I had to make spacers for it to clear the Euro LED lights. It's small but it's nice to throw hat, keys, wallet, water etc in there. Looking to see if I can use the backing plate on a larger bag down the road.

I´m looking for a bag for my 2019 SS... and the SysBag is very nice.
I like the Legend LC1 bag, more retro, but I hate see as fit when isn´t full, it seems a cloth. When iit´s full, yes, very nice and classic.

Sysbag seems be semi-hard, and at least, keep the form when empty.

Thanks! It's minimalist and works for the time being. I'm really hoping to get something on there that would help me carry a couple of growlers or a gallon of paint from Home Depot! And maybe rain gear and a tent someday.

Good looking bag

I'm very fond of SW Motech bags and have many of them in strive on my two bikes. I had not seen the one you show above and it looks pretty good. The offset is unusually wide between the bike which makes me think It would work well also with the optional Fox reservoir shocks which I have on mine now. Not all racks are compatible. To address your comment about Triumph using racks to accommodate GIVI , I would add , they already do have racks MADE by GiVI to fit many of their Dual Sport and Adventure bikes like the Tigers etc. They also make a rack which is a plug and play for their OEM top box that appears to be a GIVI product and the rack they use looks like and exact copy of the Monolock (not monkey) standard rack for top boxes. ˇThis set up is pretty much a minimum rig though and is only rated for six pounds. Most of my gear I carry if I'm going any distance is going to be more like twenty pounds per bag or pannier . I have seen a full compliment of Givi Dolomite bags on the Bonneville T 120 and they look great , and come it two configurations both top loading and drop down lids which is the same bag actually as their Dolomite Smaller (30 liter) top box. I have one of those and love it except it should be anodized as it scratches and smudges if you look at it crosseyed.

Thanks for sharing the pictures as it is always great to see what others end up with . It is also nice to know with such a new and popular model bike there are so many options out there already to get the bike outfitted to whatever floats your boat

cheers

I think you are right about this clearing the FOX shocks. I may find that out later if I think I need them. The guys I ride with have new Tigers, the Givi bags that Triumph puts on them are exactly what I would love to see available for the Street Scrambler. Still can't believe they didn't anticipate the market for a nice clean bracket to hold something similar. I was never able to confirm if the items available for the Bonneville would fit on my bike.

I installed the GIVI SR6407 Top Rack for Street Twin rack like Oldrookie, because it was flat and didn't have a grab rail. It can also be used for the GIVI Monolock & Monokey Top Cases if I wanted.
Also installed the Street Twin GIVI TMT6407 Side Carriers For GIVI MT501 Metro-T multilock Saddlebags, which is compatible with the rack.
They sell them as a left and right pair, but I only installed the left and the saddlebags can be purchased individually, much like the Sysbag.

If you want to mount a monokey top case .....

After experimenting with all the oem racks , the one made for the oem top case (a rebadged givi i think) is the best base to mount any of the givi mounting plates including the monokey or monolock platforms. The reason i like it is there is no cross member i.e. Grab rail but the side of the rack works just fine as a lift handle for your center stand .

The rack is made for the oem monolock plate which is cut out for the two vertical stops that positions the plate to line up with the bolt squares on all givi plastic plates. The monokey standard plate does not come carved out for those pins but it is a very simple thing to drill or dremel them out . Once that is done you can position the plater 30mm closer to the bike seats and that makes a huge difference in the relationship of whatever givi bag you mount.

Of course you can mount the plates for either monokey/lock to any decent lucgage rack with the clamps provided but a direct bolt on (less fidley) is possible
with the rack i mentioned. It is useless of course if you don't mount a plate of some sort on it.

It also happens to be the cheapest rack because there is not much to it. The rack is thick though and can be drilled and tapped to accept legend side bags made for the t 120 if so desired. That makes it the go to rack if you want to mount a lot of different bits to your kit.

Here are some examples :

Hi. Im sorry but im a little confused.
im looking for rail rack and plate and top box but im interesting at givi top box and one of the dolomiti or trecker.
the rail that you have and the plate that can be 30mm closer to the seat are both from givi? and if yes what part numbers? i m waiting my bench seat to arrive this week and next i will order rails and top box.
the dolomiti and trecker uses the monokey plates right? you have monokey plate that you modified it to fit the rack? and if yes how? sorry for the many questions
