Been following the forums for quite some time, they helped me to decide on getting the Metzler Tourance's. Problem is that I dropped the bike off today at a nearby shop to mount my new tires, but they asked me to find the torque setting for the nut/bolt on the front/rear wheels. Alas, I am having a hard time finding that info.

Would anyone here have that handy? I am excited to see how my ride rides with some real tires on it.

Thanks to all for the info, it got me my bike back right quick. The shop is reputable, and always been helpful to me. They didn't have the specs for Triumph and just wanted to do it right.

So 65 miles tells me that the Metzlers are quieter, stickier, smoother and the best thing I have done for my Scrambler. Can't wait to break them in a little more so I can really check them out in the corners.

I believe you'll be pleased with the Tourances over the long haul. I've been running them for the past 3-4 years on my R100GS, and am probably on my 3rd-4th (5th?) set. Good traction, good mileage, good in the corners. This bike originally came with a tire called the Sahara (Metzeler) and the tread made so much rolling noise, I went to a street tire .... until the Tourance was introduced.

Hopefully the shop knew to "bounce" the forks a couple of times prior to tightening the nip screw on the right fork.
This action allows the forks to settle in the correct position for optimum travel smoothness. You would be surprised how many mechanics don't do this, and side wear on the slider bushes is usually the end result.
