Never had any problems doing this but don't forget to use a thread locking agent on the bolts you DO WANT THEM TO COME LOOSE.

 

Service manuals usually tell you to replace rotor bolts or other fasteners that use threadlock. They reason that you are not going to clean off the old before applying new locker. When I replaced my Thrux rear rotor, I cleaned off the threads on the bolts and hub with paint stripper and then used new locker. A bit of a pain. You can also clean the threads with a torch on the bolts. Wire brushing may clean as well. Depends upon how old the locker is. I replaced the nuts and bolts for a new rear sprocket on my Daytona because some of the nuts were rounded over by previous hands. Looks good with a new sprocket as well. They were 16yrs old as well.

 

Yea the bolts were in great shape other than some grime and the leftover locking agent. A quick turn on the wire wheel fixed that right up. I reinstalled with blue Loctite. Good to go! Thanks!
