On the '60 thru '62 Pre Unit 650's (6T, T110, T120) is there any way to determine if the left and right engine cases are matching, as in originally assembled together at the factory? Thanks, any help is appreciated!

Yes there is, check underneath for a pair of numbers stamped usualy between the sump plate and the mag / distributor mounting. The numbers should be the same on each side and together, could be one number, two or even 3 numbers on each half but they will be the same for a pair.

I'm following several threads. To which one do you refer?
By the way, thanks to information from yourself and Don Nevins (who was the mechanic working with Baxter Cycle until Don moved last year), I just scored a late '62 Pre-Unit 6T lump #D17347 with matching cases #700 with the distributor and an inner primary case with alternator bracket off eBay for what I think is a reasonable price. The crank supposedly turns easily and no lugs are cracked/broken off. My Triton project and I thank you! Mechannica has also been a great help!

I have noted all Triumph cases PU and Unit (or at least all that I can remember) have the numbers you refer to. I assume this was done after align boring and all machining was done. Possibly to be sure the bare cases were rematched after the final cleaning process. My question is how critical is, it in your opinion, is it to have matched cases?
I have been told the PU primary cases were also machined as a matched set do you know if that is true?
It is always preferable to have a matched pair of crankcases because of the main bearing and camshaft alignment. However lots of 1/2 cases have been swopped out over the years and to be honest I have not heard of any problems regarding misalignment. Really says a lot for the guys who machined theses at Meriden. I think, if I remember correctly what Harry Woolridge told me one time is that the crankcases under went 82 different machining operations before finished!
Regards the primary cases Kadutz, so many of these have been swopped and to be honest I have never seen a pair stamping on these. Some leak, others don't but it is not critical for the fit onto the engine.
