Hello All!

Some wonderful advice coming from this forum as I approach a rebuild of my Mikunis on a 96 Thunderbird.

When referring to 2 - 2 1/4 turns on the air/fuel mixture screw, does that mean 2 360 degree revolutions on the screw?

Thanks!

SOFTLY turn the mixture crew clockwise (in) until it bottoms DON"T FORCE IT or you damage the screw taper.

The setting you desire is the number of turns or partial turns counterclockwise (out) from the bottomed position.

2 - 2&1/4 is a good starting point. After the engine gets fully warmed up, now you can start the final adjustment.
Blipping the throttle from idle, how does the engine come back to idle? If it the rpm's hang up before going back to idle the mixture is lean. If the rpm's drop below the set idle and then comes back up to idle the mixture is too rich. Here's a good link.
