I havent been able to find any opinions on the new rage cycles tail tidy kit. Anybody have one, and have an opinion on it? I like the looks of it a lot, just want some help before I drop 275.

I'm looking at it for my Street Cup, but any experiences with the company would be helpful. Thanks!

i bought my NRC FEK with the tucked license plate from revzilla for my TTR. I have no complaints about it because it sits flush with the solo seat and the dual comfort seat. some people dont like it as much because the side blinkers are about 30% covered by the solo seat so it can be hard for people to see but my wife has followed behind me and she said she can see the blinker perfectly. this is not my video but this is exactly how the rear end of my bike looks
i couldnt bring myself to spend $400+ on the Analog V2.

I had it on my Ducati Scrambler (tucked) before I sold the bike, so i figured i would get one for the my Thruxton R as well since i liked it on that bike.

I got the regular version (plate sticking out). My order came with the LED lighting premounted backwards on the plate and the wiring too was backwards (left signal was turning on right LED instead). It was an easy fix to say the least (NRC Customer Support are very quick in answering your questions\concerns). Mounting was easy (although it was a tight fit). Build quality is good, it almost looks like they 3D print the LED outer shell, therefor it'll have a rough finish (once installed you won't be able to tell).

LEDs are bright and i too asked my girlfriend to drive behind me to verify if she an see the turn signals and brake lights. She says she could, so i was happy.

**Just be prepared to clean the rear cowl\seat more often (even with the regular plate location version)

If you plan on keeping the front signals Halogen, then you have three options

1) Install and leave the flash bike settings to "Type 1". You will get "hyper flash" but your emergency lights will work and at a normal rate
2) Set the bike flash rate to "Type 3". The flash rate will be normal with the NRC rear and halogen fronts, HOWEVER, when you put on the emergency lights, it'll short out causing the turn signals not to function at all until you turn the bike off and back on again. (type 2 and 4 will just short everything out)
3) Install, add two resistors (one for each rear turn signal) and leave the flash bike setting to "Type 1". Emergency and Signal rate will be normal

*4) Change your front turn signal to LED (either Bulb wise or entire housing) and play with the flash rate "Type 2 thru 4" settings to get the proper flash rate.

Video below showing you how to change flash setting (the instructions also work on your street cup)

Thank you! Yes the plan is to go all LED, and I have read about the flash rate. Did not however, know of the issues with having LED rear and halogen up front, which is important.

Furthermore, I'm assuming you are talking about the additional cleaning of the seat because of slight gaps between the frame and the plate cover? If so, do you think it's something that could be fixed with some kind of rubber gasket or something like that?

The ugly OEM rear fender is very functional in terms that it prevent mud\water\other street stuff from splashing onto your back. Since you are removing that, the license plate placement from the NRC kit (and most other kit) alone is not enough to cover what little things the rear tire kicks up. Therefor if you are riding on wet roads (after it had stopped raining) your back will still get a bit wet. (The OEM rear fender is essentially equivalent to a cars mud guard if equipped). Don't worry it's not "that" bad ;)

My TTR came with one already installed. It looks great and gets rid of the unsightly fender. I have the tucked plate. It may be an install artifact from the PO, but I had to resolder a break in the wire leading to the license plate light. It has been fine since, however.

I don't ride in the rain very often, but even when I have, the spray from the rear wheel isn't noticeable.

I have it on my ST. Love the look of it, but I have had multiple people yell at me for riding at night "without a tail light." I guess it can be a little hard to notice compared to the stock light kit. The light and blinkers are clearly visible if you are looking for them, but distracted motorists are definitely less likely to notice compared to stock. That's my only complaint.

Can anyone comment about running this led fek along with an additional set of led signals?

Reason I ask is that I purchased a set of the teeny tiny elbow shaped motogadget tens.3( brake, running, and turn) as I was planning on piecing together my own fek. The motogadget leds would be mounted to the rear shocks. Also bought the NRC tucked license plate relocator.

Was thinking the two tens.3 leds would look toooooo minimalist and have been looking for a small round tail light yo compliment them.. or running the NRC full kit and adding the tens.3 leds to beef up the light output/safety/etc, which would require splicing wires, which maybe is a bad idea to double up on the splicing?
