Jamie,

Do you have / have you posted pics of the R&G unit? I recal you posting something a while back but could't find it.

At nearly ÂŁ70 it is pricey but I'd like to compare the R&G unit with what Doggy's done however the images on the R&G site show the unit very close up and without any plate fitted.

I want to know how the tail tidy changes the look of the rear end from further back than those close up shots on the R&G site but I also have concerns about the tail tidy causing the number plate to make impact with the exhausts though with Doggy's lowboy exhast its not a problem.

R&G Racing

You'll find several pics of it on this forum. Just use the SEARCH function above by users and enter manxstreettriple. You'll find her -most helpful- tail-tidy thread.

An alternative is to contact the supplier http://www.rg-racing.com. directly. But, from memory, you'll first have to register in there and get a password back.

Best. Jamie

It's quite simple rearly. I just started cutting and shaping the original metal work until I was happy with the shape. then take the original plastic bit with the indicators on and cut a couple of grooves in it and screw it up under the tail section where the other piece is all ready bolted to.Hope that helps.

DIY Tail Tidy

Has anyone managed to cuff a DIY tail tidy? Only I don't fancy paying the ÂŁ80 for the R&G one. I'm having a think about how to do it myself with a british plate! If anyone else has got any ideas they'd be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks Louis

Had a alook at a few examples and I agree it looks really tidy. It's just I wanted to keep my original cans and original indicators and the legal brit plate aint the smallest!! Ha! Might have to compromise!!
Liked the integrated tail light alot!!! Not sure wether that's legal here either?? Can anyone answer that one??

He's got a low-boy though.

Even the comp-werk tail tidy didn't leave enough clearance between the cans to sit well with me. And in traffic one melted.

Here's my set up. I'll be relocating the state inspection sticker and making a new plate that angles the plate downwards a little more. This is a combination of the compwerks tidy and intergrated tail light.

Home Made Tail Tidy:

Great job doggy. I have an extra tail end/license frame with license plate light, reflectors and signals. I might give that a try. On the 1st picture, did you cut part of the frame or does it just look that way in the pic? I was trying to figure out how to do the exact same thing today.
