Hi everyone,

I will be moving from Quincy, MA to Superior, CO in the middle of December and am looking for a reliable motorcycle transport company to move my 2018 Triumph Street Twin. I have read through the posts on this forum as well as other sub-forums on this site and came across the following names
Most of the posts are a little dated and I was wondering if anyone here has any recent experience using any of them? In case you have had a good experience with others, do let me know about them as well.

Maybe your local motorcycle dealer - or one in CO - can offer some recommendations? Good luck.

If you are using a moving company just have them crate it and take it with your house hold goods. I have done this several times. But that USship sounds like a good deal.

I used UShip when I bought my TBS. It was in New Jersey and had to go to Florida. It was winter, so couldn’t fly up and ride it home. I believe UShip just subs it out, the drivers don’t actually work for them. There were some challenges, and delays, but it arrived with no damage. It was inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.

Another idea is When we moved from Cali to Florida with North American Van truck lines I was able to ship my bike in the same trailer 8 yrs ago with all our goods for a dollar per pound, so a little less then 400 bucks. I was able to loaded it up my self and secure and pad it up in the trailer, all I had to do is drain the gas tank before shipping. Bought one of those gas tank drain pumps siphoned it all out no problem. Bike arrived all intact with no issues…FTG

I have used Haul Bikes many times...but they have become expensive and slow. Last bike took 2 months to reach me from TX to OH...however, their equipment and care is top notch. The last bike I sold was shipped by some local carrier - the guy dumped it in the trailer when he was delivering it - crushed the luggage, what a PITA for the buyer. Although it did get there fast.

I just used HaulBikes last month. They were great and the issues you mentioned above did not occur in my situation. I had a bike I bought in Texas shipped to me in PA and it went flawlessly. They even did it quicker than they said they would. They also were the cheapest quote I received, so it was a win/win.

I'm in the midst of having one bike shipped from Chicago to Seattle and one from Boise, ID to Chicago. Haulbikes $650 and $595 respectively. Figure about a month for each bike. The only other bids I received were $950-1000. I've used Haulbikes at least four times now, no issues if you're not in a particular hurry (I'm not).

I just sent my T120 from Seattle to Las Vegas yesterday so I can’t say with certainty that it will arrive on time and in the same condition as it was sent (I have no reason to believe it won’t) but found USN Logistics via UShip and it cost me $550 with the addition $50 service fee. Mark and his wife picked her up at 11:00 on Sunday morning and say they will deliver to my brothers in Vegas Tues afternoon or Wed morning weather/traffic dependent.

I'm late to the party but I'm about to ship a bike from Colorado to the east coast and I'm using Haulbikes. Two separate dealerships who regularly ship have recommended them. I've moved three bikes in the past five years using Uship and it is hit or miss. One of the dealers said he's turned away a pickup because the guy's equipment wasn't as advertised. Haulbikes bid was $595 while estimating pickup and delivery about three weeks out. The bids I got on Uship were between $900 and $1500. YMMV.

Thanks a lot everyone for your thoughtful replies! Since the Street Twin is my only mode of transport, I would like to have it delivered as soon as is reasonably possible. Going with Wolverine Cycle Logistic for moving the bike. They have been very communicative so far and will let everyone here know how it ends up being.

I know this answer is coming a bit late, but for others who might have the same question, I wanted to chime in. I've been on the hunt for reliable motorcycle transport too, so I understand the struggle.
While I haven't personally used any of the companies you mentioned, I recently came across a1autotransport.com, and they seem to offer motorcycle shipping services as well. It might be worth checking them out and getting a quote.
Apologies for reviving an old thread, but I'm also on the lookout for similar information. By the way, I found a great car in another state, and I'm considering options for shipping it to me.

years ago I used ForwardAir and was happy with them. Don't know if they are still shipping motorcycles. They were not the most convenient. You took your bike to one of their depots. Where YOU would load the bike into what was essentially a mini container that was designed for bikes and padlock the doors. They would then ship the container to the depot closest to your destination. What I liked was I loaded the bike and made sure it was secure. They never touched the bike.

I've been through the hassle of finding a reliable motorcycle shipper, and it can be a bit of a challenge. I recommend doing some online research and checking out reviews for motorcycle shipping companies in your area.
Thanks for nothing Captain Obvious!
