Since no one else are sharing their settings, I did some more tweaking. Now it`s perfect even in the lower rev. range. I have hade some issues with upshifts under hard acceleration, I will try to sort that out later. But now the downshifts are nicely linear trough out the whole rev. range. Here are my latest settings:
730518
730519
730520

Cheers!

@Tripleboo sorry for the slow input... I’ve just started to have a play. My current config attached.
738298

I’m really happy with band 2 and below (both blipper and shifter). Now trying to figure out band 3, and am sometimes noticing rough changes 3rd gear > 4th gear. Only sometimes though, so not sure I will adjust for that.

FYI @Tripleboo I also think I notice the same difficulty you’re experiencing at hard acceleration - at higher rev range+ higher gear. From what I recall it almost felt like it was shifting too late after the engine kill? ... hard to replicate this to play with until I get to another track day!

Hello Magnus.

Had someone install the HM SABS on my 18 Street Triple RS and the dash got bricked. At first, the blip is on the upshift, so just used the clutch/manual. The next ride, the blip on the upshift was gone. Then when I had it reinstalled, the installer said the bike won’t start and had to replace the dash. That’s what happened (that I know of).

Anyway, as I’m planning to install this myself and don’t want to commit same mistake, what do you think was the mistake that I need to avoid?

Also, should I disconnect the battery first before anything? Or is that ok? Have a phobia now, the dash replacement is expensive!

Cheers

Did you have the shift direction the right way round? that might explain why you were having trouble shifting the first time around.

It can be changed on the first screen in the SABS application. Assuming you haven’t changed your shifter to a GP style one, it should probably be set to Extension/PULL, rather than Compression/Push. I think it defaults to the compression setting. If unsure, you should be able to use the auto detect button.

Too late for that, dash changed and reinstalled the HM SABS. Now I’m going to make sure “Extension” is checked.

Will do Throttle Calibration next and PC Software Configurations. Aside from the “Extension”, anything else I should do and take note?

Cheers

I found it pretty straight forward to install TBH. Just followed the provided instructions...

That said, I find it hard to understand how it would damage your display, since it just plugs in to the ECU...

I think the issue with the display (A known fault) is not related to the HM Blipper install...
But once everything is set up correctly, the settings need some tweaking, hence my posting.
I guess the only way to get it smooth is to have the PRO version, from what I read here the Lite version does not give the opportunity to change the settings.
Cheers!

Mine doesn´t kill att all under hard acceleration. The shifter is just stiff. Mayby I need to change the sensitivity?

I installed it already myself, and found it hard to believe too. The previous installer didn’t bother to “Write” the settings for the Street Triple RS and check the “Extension” option! Maybe that messed up the ECU?

Anyway, the Setup Guide now (Version 3c) have specific recommendations on the last page. Seems to work for me. Maybe there really is a problem before, otherwise they would not have given the new recommendations. It recommends to uncheck Use RPM, Use Gear and Use HMSS (among others). Works perfectly now (but just on stands though, haven’t had the opportunity to ride). Very smooth.

However, I’m wondering if it’s ok to go back to the default configuration settings specifically for the Street Triple 765 RS; might mess up the Dash again.

Cheers 🥃

Try their new recommendations on the last page of User Guide V3c. This is new. Maybe this will solve the problems, I suspect the Configuration Setttings specifically for the bike causes issues. Mine is smooth as silk in all gears, up and down. Cheers 🥃

Magnus what’s that known issue with the Dash? What caused it? Have installed the HM SABS, but wondering what is causing that Dash issue. Cheers 🍻

The only thing I know is what I read on forums, that some have suffered from dying dash. It is not related in anyway to the HM stuff. More of a manufacturing issue. I have not had any issues with my dash so far, knock on wood.

Good find, thanks for sharing. Have not been on the HM site since spring time. Unfortunatly winter is here so no possibility for a test run...

Well, the authorized dealer said the electrical system of the bike is really sensitive, and in fact advised me not to install the HM SABS. Probably wants me to go for the new model! Haha. Cheers 🥃

Just realized there is a new software release 3.51 , If you uncheck "Use RPM" you can not change bands anymore. Good or bad?
STRS765er Do you have the PRO or Lite version?
Will you be able to do a road test anytime soon. On the stand say´s nothing really. I am very curious to know how the new software whitout "USE RPM" settings work. Fiddling around with the bands as I was doing, did the trick for me. But if they recommend these settings maybe it works better, hav not tried that yet...

I've finally tried on the road both the (1) stock configuration specifically for the Street Triple 765 RS and (2) same configuration but with changes prescribed on the last page of the User Guide (uncheck RPM, uncheck Gear, uncheck HMSS, 50 and 50 shirter and blipper sensitivity, and so on).

The stock configuration is actually much better. The only things I didn't like is on certain downshifts, mostly 4th to 3rd, there is a long lull or delay. Kill time too long? Feels like a fueling issue or someting, I don't know. Might need to study the configurations more. Let's see. Also, I cannot downshift without fully rolling off the throttle. I tried carefully keeping the throttle still (but rolled on), and it downshifts but not all the time and not consistently. Maybe my hands are not still, I don't know. Need to test on a fast but safe road.

The stock configuration with recommendations on the last page of the User Guide is ok for very low speeds, like cruising around the city in slow traffic, which is very smooth actually and works very well. But on the highway on high speeds and deceleration from high speeds, the downshifts are too jerky and inconsistent. There are many times it doesn't downshift, and on slow corners from 3rd to 2nd to 1st, it jolts the bike. Maybe the bike/ECU needs more time to communicate with each other? On the HMQuickshifter site it says that the SABS adapts to the bike.

Let's see later when I get to ride again. This is not my main bike, so could not be soon.

Before I leave, anything you noticed when checking HMSS? Improved? Worse? I did not try this at all. This is unchecked on the stock configuration settings for the Street Triple 765 RS (without recommendations on last page of User Guide).

Cheers

Dude, you aleays ned to fullt rolloff before downshifting on any blipper... So on the specific STR setting the use RPM is checked, right. So it’s back to my settings, more or less? I started with the HM str765 settings and tweaked those. My guess is that you gonna end up close to were I am. Try my settings as shared above and see what you think, If that’s better then the two you tried, let’s improve on those.

Good luck!
I will not be able to contribute for another 3-4 months...
Cheers!

Had a 17 BMW S1000R before that has an autoblipper, no need to roll off nor fully roll off, just keep the throttle still/constant. This is actually on the manual. Also have an 19 Aprilia Tuono Factory now, and you only have to keep the throttle constant/still. This is why I'm looking for that, am used to that.

Yeah, will try your settings. Let's see.

Noticed while searching re Rapid Bike Easy that you also have it. Can you install the Rapid Bike Easy at the same time as the HM SABS? Any issues? None?

Cheers
