Want to fit a scottoiler to my 900 GT but cannot be sure where to find the vacuum pipe to cut for the vacuum t piece to the oiler. Scottoiler instructions show area where to find the place but there are 2 pipes in that area and they can't tell me which is the correct one to cut.(they have tried to help without any success)
I have fitted scottoilers to my last4 bikes with no trouble at all but this time I am totally befuddled.
Any help or photos would be appreciated.

This is a guess but it might be the answer.

There are two spigots on each throttle body, one for MAP and one for evap emissions. MAP sensors don't like sharing their air so the instructions are probably to fit it to the evap spigot. Here's the layout from the service manual. It looks like you can most easily connect to the outer hose from either of the outer throttle bodies.

Once again, this is a guess so you'll have to see how it matches up with the Scott instructions.

Thanks for that, the recommendation is to cut the evap pipe and fix a tee piece for the vacuum pipe to the oil dispenser. I am getting my first 500 mileservice in the next few weeks anad will ask the dealer to mark which pipe to cur. Taking the tank off to access the throttle bodies loks like it may be too big a job for me. I attach a diagram sent to me from Scottoiler cust services but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me in getting it right.

Here you have dedicated instructions specific for Tiger 900 for the Vsystem from Scottoiler. Pictures and everything you need to know in order to install it correctly.

Had lots of help from Scottoiler, but when I told them there were 2 pipes where they showed to connect they couldn't tell me which one was the one to cut. Bike due its 500 mile service in a couple of weeks and will ask their service engineer to get me the answer. Pretty hopeless Scottoiler instrructions. Would have fitted the electric version but I stripped the nearly new oiler from my 2021 Bonnie. Here are a couple of pics I sent to scttoiler with 1 pipe marked with white tape and the other pipe marked with red tape but they still couldn't tell me.

Bad News - Booked GT in for 500 mile service next week and asked manager if the engineer could show me the correct pipe to cut for the vacuum T piece. Answer- they would not recommend fitting a V system oiler as they have had at least 4 owners of 900's suffering vacuum sensor problems which would not be covered under warranty. So there it goes either buy the electric scottoiler at double the price and get rid of my V system making it a nearly ÂŁ300 cost or just don't bother and buy chain lube cleaner and lube.Or does anyone know of any other oiler makers??

As Maxply said on 09 March, try a Tutoro. Completely independent of any electrics or cutting sensitive sensor pipes. I'm onto my second now (two bikes to look after, not because the first gave up) and they're perfect. Should have got one years ago. To be fair I did have a Scottoiler previously (many years ago!) but it was more hassle and less simple.
When I was looking for an oiler I did absolutely loads of research and plumped for the Tutoro in the end, hoping it would be pretty idiot-proof. So far, so good!
