Getting ready to put some black engine covers on my Thruxton and I can't find the bolt torque values anywhere. Anyone know these by chance?

Here you go... This is the link to the Triumph Black Engine Cover Fixing/Bolt Kit (A9618190).
It has the Triumph recommended torque values for each bolt, and even states what the best order to torque each one is. Just click the link below! Cheers.
(It states each bolt for both engine covers has a torque value of 10Nm and/or 7.4ft-lbs.
And if you bought the Triumph Black Sprocket Cover as well, the torque value for those four bolts are 9Nm/6.6ft-lbs.)

So I got the stator side done and the clutch cover off. Went to install the sound suppression cover and realized the holes haven't been tapped yet! I have a M6x1.0 tap, but I need a bottoming tap to make this work. Waited 2 months for these covers and they're not even finished from the factory!

Curious to see that you did with the sprocket cover...

Woe... I stood there next to the tech installing mine, annoying him the whole time, and although I got this done almost a year ago, I honestly don't recall him having to do anything like that... And I can't imagine Triumph would expect a customer or a Triumph tech to have to do that. Just double check you aren't misinterpreting something, or that something isn't just wrong with the part with a need to return it... Best of luck though!! Let us know the outcome! Cheers.

The suppressor only goes on one way, and the only differece between the old and the new one is the absence of threads on the new one. Took me a few minutes of trying before realizing that the holes were never tapped! I suspect these were rushed out of the factory since there's been a back order for so long.

I only got the engine covers. I was a little concerned that my foot would rub any black coating off the sprocket cover so I never ordered one.

Geeze, that really stinks. I would be pretty upset if that were the case when I got my black ones. I would return them, hoping that there is now another set in the warehouse.

... On a side note, I have the black Triumph Thrux sprocket cover, and no signs of any foot wear at all... Yet.

Last night I finally got around to getting the cover tapped out and installed. Got me to work this morning with no issues so far! Now I need to find the black sprocket cover to make it all match.

Also put on some R&G case sliders and larger kickstand pad for my gravel driveway. The sliders (also fresh off a backorder) included the wrong size washers which wouldn't allow the screws fit in the recesses. A trip to the local commercial fastener retailer got me the right ones easily.

I just want to thank you guys for helping me out during my little project.

Just looked at the black engine covers I bought for my Thruxton R. Same issue, no threads cut in the holes for sound suppression cover. If/when I get around to installing the covers (not 100% sure the bike needs more black bits) I believe I'll just skip installing the sound suppression cover.

Any reason, outside additional noise, that the sound suppression cover needs to be installed?
