Customization for Euro5+ compliant models from 2025 onwards

Hello.

I apologize for the machine translation.

I took delivery of my 2025 T120 last weekend.

It's a very beautiful and good bike.

But I was disappointed to find out recently that the 2025 model is now Euro5+ compliant, so the number of O2 sensors has increased,

and all previous full exhaust systems can no longer be used.

It's already difficult to remove the catalyst because of the exhaust pipe welding...

Euro5+ is really troublesome for motorcycle enthusiasts.

Will custom makers make exhaust systems that comply with Euro5+ or release O2 sensor eliminators?

Please let me know if you have any up-to-date information.

Euro5+ regulations are not a matter of some models or some manufacturers. They are here to stay (or to evolve to more restrictions). Every bike designed to be sold in European union will have to fit them.

And though in this case the adjusts are originally designed to fit the Euro regulations, most other developed countries have similar regulations, and japan, if your country flag is correct, is one of those.

I mean... not a decision from now on to choose between limited or not limited models. Almost every new bike offered in the market will accomplish those regulations. The option will not be "buy an euro5+ bike - buy another bike" but "buy or not buy a bike".

And they exist to, in fact, to avoid owners to modify the exhaust systems and alter the emission levels. That's why it is not euro6 but euro5+ - the emission levels and combustion limits do not change, it only changes how deep they are checked and guaranteed to remain.

If not impossible, it should be very hard and include deep electronic modifications (probably expensive) to get ride of those controls and be able to do things like installing de-cat alternate exhausts.

I mean with that, we motorcycle owners have to accept the reality of our modern and future vehicle regulations. Noise and fuel smell are the past.

On the other side, probably a matter of point of view that of thinking noise and custom exhausts are an "important part" of motorcycling enjoyment.

We saw Euro-5 coming and now it's here. (Or, there, actually) But it's only a matter of time before it's here too. This may make older models more desirable, just like it has for cars.

Motorcyclists are tinkerers. This reduces that ability.
