Triumph D2053 OAT is coloured orange compared to the Triumph HD4X OAT which is coloured green. When topping up/replacing with the new coolant (colour orange) check the coolant in the system. You can not mix the HD4X OAT with the new D2053 OAT, The system will need to be drained and flushed through with dialysis water before filling with Triumph D2053 OAT.

I think the D2053, pink,, replaced the HD4X, green, and the two cannot be mixed.
I have had another look at the bottle and it has a crossed out symbol of a dripping tap and 50:50 printed next to it.
Not foolproof info but I assume that means you need to mix 50/50 with pure water, not tap water

 

Well looks like I was wrong, post 3 indicates it is already pre mixed 50/50 and is to be used direct from the bottle. A tap with an x through it must mean add no water, I took it to mean dont add tap water, use deionised water to achieve 50/50 mix.
Direct from the bottle it is then.

Then the bottle says to be "installed" by trained technician? It's coolant, WTH?

 

I just topped off the coolant in my Tiger 1200 Explorer. First, I had to find the OAT coolant which is not the easiest thing to do unless you are near a dealer. The orange coolant is already mixed, so just pour it in. Now, getting to the cap on the overflow bottle on the new Tiger 1200 is another issue. First, pry open the cover (don't lose the rubber grommets). Then, the small filler cap is directly under a rail with just enough space to get your finger in there to open the cap. Then, you need a very small funnel to reach into that space where the cap is located. I think the coolant being low in the overflow bottle has been pretty common on the new Tiger 1200 after a few hundred miles or so. Filled it up to the mid way point on the bottle so I'm good to go now! Have almost 5000 miles on the bike and remain very pleased with the performance, ride, and features. I would like to know if there is an update to the ECU software - guess that will be a visit to the dealer.

don't get hybrid oat (hoat) confused with oat. Determine which your bike needs and get that.
I don't think it is necessary to get Triumph branded antifreeze but I wouldn't mix hoat with oat.

What is the best coolant technology for the T100/T120 (2017) Bonneville engine? Since Triumph has replaced the HOAT coolant (HD4X) with a pure OAT coolant (D2053) which is silicate free. Does anybody know which coolant technology is best for the engine and long service intervals? Both HOAT and OAT are readily accessible from other brands. Triumph must have replaced the HOAT coolant with a silicate free OAT for some reason. I had a Honda VT750 and in the manual it was emphasized that the coolant had to be silicate free to avoid wear on the coolant pump. I am a bit uncertain if I should stay with a HOAT or flush and replace with OAT.

The old green HD4X HOAT replaced with Triumph coolant OAT D2053. It should last 5 years.

 

I think you have overfilled the reservoir. It will surely result in spitting out most of the fluid above the MAX line when hot.
