Ive been trying to get my spare ignition key and the fork lock keys from the previous owner. He found one that he thinks might be the fork lock key and says its a German key. Can this possibly be the right one? The lock looks just like the one I've had on all of my BMW's. Thanks!

I agree the fork lock is the same as the older BMW. My 1976 R90S had the same lock.
When I first got my Bonneville I was a bit surprised to see the same lock !
