Anyone aware of an aftermarket kit to lower the pilot's footpegs on the current Sprint ST? I'm 6'4" and need a bit more legroom than the standard peg position affords.

I have dragged the front outside edge of my boots on both sides on the new '07 already and I'm no Valentino Rossi.

Don't know if lowering the pegs would be such a great idea.

Stopping and stretching your legs more often, would probably be a safer "mod" :).

I'm 6'5", 36" inseam

I know what you are saying, but I don't find it too bad

I would look at raising the seat instead of lowering the pegs

have an upholstery shop add an inch or two

lowering pegs vs raising seat

My observations so far is that i'm getting more used to the bike and I am bothered let by my poor old bent knees and stiff back. I am still pondering my options. I fear raising the seat would put even more pressure on my wrists. OldnDumb mad reference to a buell part that would lower the pegs and i think he has pictures of it just a week or so ago. Now there is this lowering kit. I'm thinking of using helibars to raise the bars raising my seat lowering the pegs and adding a refridgerator and a jacuzzi. Just can't decide.

Here is a link to a lowering kit http://www.whaccessories.com/FootPegLoweringKit.htm---

I used the searcch junction in honor of OnD and this is what I found on the buells-

I was in a shop awhile ago, and someone mentioned using your stomache on the tank to support ALL your weight, not to use your arms at all

I tried it, works like a champ

Lean on the tank, take ALL the weight off your arms

NICE looking lowering kit

NO

I might have a bigger gut than some of you but I don't use it to hold me up.

Do some crunches or sit ups and strengthen your core and use your stomach muscles to support you.

I do this in combination with my arms, which I find easy as I am fairly muscular in the arms and trunk.

FWIW I do not think this slouching your gut on the tank is very good riding posture.

Flame if you wish but I have been playing this game for more than 30 years.

If you relax your with your stomach resting on the tank and hit a pothole or bump you are likely to hurt your back.

If you hit a car or other vehicle it will be worse, and yes I have hit things cars included.

My opinion........maybe not every one elses.
