Flashing brake light for safety

I’ve always installed a brake light flashing device on my motorcycles in order to be better seen. Is there a unit that is recommended that plays nicely with the canbus system?

In Wisconsin, they are against the law, as flashing red is only allowed on emergency vehicles.
That said, I have flashing brake lights on both my bikes and they work great at keeping cars from getting too close and have never been pulled over by authorities. I use it quite often when I’m just sitting at a stop light and a car is approaching from behind and they always stop further behind than usual.

Bike2k2, I have installed this unit on my 2017 Bobber back in 2019 as recommended by another rider on the Triumphbobberforum.com
I bought it on Amazon, but don’t see the exact thing there. There are others listed by the same company that may work, but I’m in no chance a guru on these electrical things.
Here‘s the instructions I got from the forum member.

Good Luck!

Some of these continue to flash as long as the brake is on. These can be annoying to drivers behind you and they can tune it out. The vizi-tec flashes and then goes solid, i had one on my 2012 Bonneville T100 and it plugs right inline with the brake, no splicing. The one I use from Admore on my 2024 Tiger 900 GT flashes multiple times and then changes to a solid red light. It is separate from my brake light which works normally without flashing. It also has sequential turn signals which are nice, but it requires a bit of easy wiring.

Yeah, the one I had would flash quickly for several seconds the flashing would slow down and then the brake light would become solid. It definitely tripped some people out.

After that, I dumped the system and decided to go full reckless mode, bobber'd the bike and installed a Model A tail light. ...but hey, my little bullet LED rear turn signals still went on with the brake light. :p Doing a little border patrol duty here....

To add to the input above from ND TIGGRR, neither the Vizi-Tec SupaBrake nor the Denali B6 flash perpetually, which as someone pointed out, is illegal in some jurisdictions. They would be stupid to release such products, and I would be similar to buy them. The Vizi-Tec (especially) can be configured for multiple light display patterns but the default is to flash a few time and then go solid, with a recycle time of about 12 seconds (IIRC). No one would stop anyone for flash-then-solid behaviour as they would not surely win a court challenge.
