So the last time i was at dealer (granted it was almost 1k miles ago), they said they didn't have any ECU updates for my bike (2016 thruxton r). This was after I had read about at least one update here.
They said they had no ability to download it ad hoc--either it showed up as an available update when they plugged the bike up to the computer or it wasn't possible to install. The service manager said that just because the internet says something is available doesn't make it so (which sounds assholic, but has been my experience with almost everything on the internet). He said it might not be available yet in our region (west coast US).
So seeing if you guys think this sounds right -- can an ECU update be avail in EU and not in US?
Is there a way I can establish/prove there is an ECU update? For instance, with my MV Agusta, there is a documented part of their site that announces service bulletins (such as ECU updates): http://net.mvagusta.it/scheda/dettaglio/98/131?lang=en
Is there a way I can find out what the latest build number is for ECU that I can confirm when they plug me in?
