Some years ago, I saw a Bonneville that was black with gold trim. I don’t recall the year but I recall polished aluminum engine cases and likely air cooled… but it could have been water cooled. I think it was a t100 but ?

any idea of what year it could be?

The 1971 Bonneville was gold and black as a standard factory color.

It was the first Triumph I'd ever ridden on (albeit pillion), and the one that scared the beejeezeebers out of me.

Maybe that bike?

No, it wasn’t a 1970’s bike… I had one. This bike was likely from the 2010’s. I recall the SE bikes but don’t remember a black with gold pinstripes. At any rate, it was either T100 or T120, definitely a more modern fuel injected bike.

In 2021 there was a limited edition ‘Gold Line’ version of the modern classic range.
Could be that although the black T100 seems to have had black engine cases.

Maybe but I don’t think so. The 2021 T120 black was a two toned black and silver tank though. The bike I’m referring to was an all black tank with gold pinstripes… sort of like old BMWs. The 2021 black T120 just doesnt look like that.
