Hello everyone, as the title says, what do you think is the best upgrade to do on a Thruxton RS FE.
De-Cat, exhaust, etc.
I'm waiting for your opinions.

I wouldn’t do anything to the suspension or brakes. I’m sure you could wring a bit more power out of it. TTS has a supercharger for the Thruxton R which gives 60% more HP. Short of that, the stock tune throttle is minimally restricted and you could remove that with Tuneecu. If you have access to a good dyno tuner, get a Meerkat cat bypass and aftermarket mufflers. Does yours already have Arrow mufflers? I’m not sure about a custom intake which deletes the air box. Then have it dyno tuned.

Actually Crowsfoot just posted 5 hrs ago in the Water Cooled Twins Technical Talk section what it requires to do fairing install with step by step instructions and videos check it out.
Have u done your exhaust yet, I have British Customs GP slip ons on mine, great Quality they look great and sound great with some performance value, I didn't decat my bike though...FTG

Do you think that if I do a de-cat I absolutely have to tune the bike.
I read a little on the subject and the opinions seem mixed.
It seems that the bike adapts itself!

This was systematically tested on a Thruxton R and it did increase the power but did not significantly increase the AFR.

Ride the bike around some and see what you think, you might like it just fine the way it is.
I went with Galfer front brake rotors, a K&N air filter, a real horn, a front fender extender, different hand grips and a BC decat.
Right now I'm waiting for the weather to warm up some so I can put on a full Arrow Competition Exhaust and I have some luggage parts on order.
The fairing is primarily for looks unless you're lying flat on the tank, don't expect a whole lot of wind protection out of it.

Brembo discs didn’t work?

Yes and no. Because of the welded mid pipes you would need to find some mid pipes from an earlier model if you wanted to fit the original x pipe. Perhaps someone has fitted a full system and has them for sale, or they could come from a motorcycle wrecker or you could buy new (ouch). There are also some newer x pipes available that come with the welded mid pipes. Nothing is impossible.
And by the way, it is a VERY worthwhile mod.
