BC 2-2 Drag Pipes and Tune

Currently I have the British Customs slash cuts on my T120 Black, and although they have a nice sound they are just not doing it for me anymore.

Yesterday I decided to take the plunge and ordered the British Customs 2-2 Drag Pipes. So while I am waiting for them to arrive I sent my ECU to DNK Tuneworks for a retune (Could have just gotten the digital download in hindsight since I don't consider myself a rookie in that area). Anyway has anyone decided to go this route, and what was your experience.

I figured while I was doing that I might as well change out the rear suspension as well and ordered the Fox Suspension.

Hey @Sparkle_Tooth, those drag pipes sound like an interesting upgrade! I'm curious, what made you decide to go with DNK Tuneworks for the retune? Maybe sharing that could spark some discussion!

I went with DNK Tuneworks simply because I saw someone else recommend them and then I did some research into what they do. There doesn't seem to be a lot of options for tuners that have a turnkey solution. Currently my ECU is with them getting a tune so I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out with the new pipes.
In preparation I have already removed the stock pipes, which I have to say is a complete PITA to get the CAT out. With the newer watercooled bikes you need to remove the frame rails from both sides since they are now welding the pipes to the CAT. So glad to be rid of that cinderblock.

Overall it was a good experience. I was under a time crunch and they were able to work with me for a really quick turn around time.

as for the tune itself I can’t say for sure it is a notable difference. If anything I feel like it is sluggish starting from a stop. The pipes sound great though and the tune serves its purpose I suppose give the Cat removal and open pipes.

i have been thinking of finding a place to do a proper tune/dyno but haven’t really researched in depth. If anyone knows of a good place to do a dyno in East Tn, I’d love to know where.
