In the quest for torque specs, I signed up for a month of triumphinstructions - It cost me $9 and annoyingly you cannot print, save or copy any thing.
:172:

Anyways, I saved off a few torque specs for myself - manually typed it out on to a spreadsheet. Here are the ones I have saved off. If you want any, please message here and I will look it up and post it. I will be cancelling my subscription after a month is up...

So, if you want a torque spec, ask away!

Ok, so the tank cover seems to have a total of 6 fixings from what I can tell...Tell me if you want more!

  • 2 fixings by the ignition switch on each side - 3 Nm (#1 in 1st image below)
  • 1 fixing at the back bottom of the tank - 3 Nm (#2 in second image below)
  • 1 fixing on each side at the side bottoms towards front of the tank - 3 Nm (#3 in 2nd image below)

Thank you for sharing. I hate the idea of having to sub to it, but you do get service bulletins. So I guess I probably will just maintain the subscription. I can see their rationale, the only way to ensure that updated information and safety critical bulletins reach the target audience is by requiring a sub and not allowing people to print the shop manual. Don't like it, but somewhat necessary if you are going to maintain your motorcycle yourself. Kind of of like subscribing to activate the seat warmer function on your BMW car though.
