Nice, I want to do the same thing to my adventurer. Maybe some drag bars and side end mirrors. I really hate the rear fender on my Adventurer.

If you want the fat tyre look you really need to have 16" rims, the most popular choice of tyre is the Avon 500 x 16. I have recently seen some 500 x 17 tyres by a different make but they are not the same. Having recently built a Kawasaki Brat/café racer and fitted the vintage style fat tyres that you mention, I can categorically tell you that although they look the part, handling is severely compromised to the point where spirited riding on a twisty road is a no no! Horses for courses though, they are ok if you are a gentle rider and do not ride in the wet.

Well I met another ride who used fat tires and ended up dropping the bike because the tire groves fell in street groves, threw the bike ride off balanced. He fell over going slow and maybe wouldn't have been an issue if he was going faster.
I went the slight bobber look. I didn't want to spend too much money so I went very cheap for mods.
used fender $20
Tail lights $40
chrome end mirrors$30
