meh. magazines' sole job is to sell the newest thing. i have yet to read a magazine review that was more criticism than praise for anything. And that includes chrysler transmissions in the 2005-2015 era. ;)

I'd have more interest if they got rid of the TFT. I've lurked on FerrariChat long enough to know it's not if, but when....and granted even being as small as it is, it won't be a cheap replacement. :p

i'll just sip my ol fashy and enjoy my twin-clock t100 that much longer methinks.

I don’t mind the black mufflers but the offset gauge is just stupid. I can’t think of single reason to do it. Plus, even though these aren’t true retro but more retro adjacent, they should have twin clocks IMO. It’s a shame Triumph invites negative comments on pretty unimportant things when they have such good bikes otherwise. A little like the unnecessarily contentious and divisive headlights on the Street/Speed Triples.

It sounds like they put a lot of thought and work into the new models. Shorter wheelbase is interesting. Is it like skis where shorter gives you more control but longer gives you a better more stable straight line ride? Pictures look cool. Not crazy about the two-tone black/chrome muffler. Either one is okay by me. But the two-tone combo looks a little goofy to me. (And a pain to clean, lol?) Thanks for posting.

If you want (or need) your biases against the new instrument layout confirmed, you can trawl the Harley forums for folk complaining about the replacement of twin dials with a TFT display on the naked sporty models as well as some big cruisers.

I havent had a chance to ride a 25 Speed Twin 1200 yet but Ive scoped them out up close at my dealer. Im certain its an upgrade, even if slight, to the the previous ones but I cant help but NOT love any of the color options. The previous ones, especially red, were so elegant and had a much more POSH look. And the twin clocks are absolutely a must. Hard to love the single clock. Im also torn on the reshaped tank. If I rode one im sure id love it, but cosmetically I think Triumph screwed the pooch.

I have considered both of these bikes since we now have a Triumph dealer in West Chester, PA, USA. At my advancing age, I am pondering going from two bikes (Guzzi V7 and Aprilia Tuono 660), to one. The single gauge does give me a big feh. I had a street triple 675 I loved, but the new street is more than I want or need. Hmm.

I bought a 2025 Speed Twin 1200 RS today, I currently did not have a Triumph and my previous Triumph was a 2017 T120. So my starting point was not comparing a recent Speed Twin 1200 to this new 2025. But what kept me from getting one in the last 2 or 3 years was a lack of cruise control, This new 2025 will have the new stuff I want now a days: cruise control, quick shifter, heated grips, TPMS, cancelling turn signals, fully adjustable suspension (I really prefer electronic suspension). And even without the dual clocks, I really love the retro looks of this bike: round headlight, flat seat, dual rear shocks, and a gas tank that looks like an old motorcycle.

I am good, I am happy. Baja Orange, baby.
