Anyone have any effective ways for removing dried hi-temp silicone sealant from mufflers/headers?

I used hi temp sealant to help seal my lossa silencers to the stock headers, but I went a bit overboard with the sealant and it's kind of everywhere.

Lacquer Thinner, WD40? any ideas?

Or the edge of a copper coin.
A Triumph guy suggested that when I got a plastic bag wrapped around my exhaust on a ride out.
His reasoning was that the copper is softer than the chrome and therefore less likely to scratch. Although you still need to proceed with care.
It worked on the plastic bag though !

I also use a penny to remove boot marks from my exhaust. Works great.

Good to know. I will try simply scraping it off, however I figured I would need to try to dissolve it a bit first.

There is such a thing as bronze wool, it is of course softer than steel or chrome so it won't scratch.

I've never sealed cans to header pipes. However, if you have a sloopy fit or gaps and there are leaks, then a sealer is advisable. I just installed some used Preds on my Thux and used anti-seize grease, not silicone or RTV sealant. Makes removing the cans very easy.
