Unfortunately, he's a moderator on the Triumph Thruxton 1200 | 1200R Facebook group that I formerly was a moderator on, so there's no way to actually block him, since he could still see and post on every topic of mine, and then in that case start some **** about me unbeknownst to me.

30029 wouldn't unzip for me and 30030 was showing corrupt file in TuneECU.:frown2:

Let Alain know on the TuneECU forum.

Tuneecu now supports writing maps to the T120. If you change the etv tables, do you also have to change the fuel tables? I notice that tuneecu won’t let me export or import the etv tables. I want to make my road mode the same as the rain mode up to about 10% throttle since the rain mode is smoother in this area. Does this seem reasonable?

#192 ·
I just use copy and paste for the ETV tables.
I don't think you need to make any fuelling changes if you change the ETV maps, after all your bike uses the same fuelling maps when you switch from one throttle map to another so I can't see that's any different than you modifying the throttle map.

Yeah, the orders a bit illogical, 1,2,3 is road rain sport.

Hi Diva
Im new to tuneecu android but from your posts and others on this dicussion im starting to understand the how's and why's.
I have been trying to download your map with no success, do you have another link?
I have just read through just about all the posts on here and now i know why Diva's maps are not available. Sorry to hear about the problems you have had Diva, the time and effort you have put into helping others and giving me for one a better understanding of how to use and modify maps. Thank you.

Im a bit strapped for cash at the moment but yes i would gladly pay you for a map in the near future.
Your dyno runs look very good, 98bhp wooo.
Just so you know, im on a speed twin, meerkat X pipe, short weslake pipes with baffles, but im going to re core the stds, std air filter at the moment, might go DNA, intake trumpet in but tube cut back on the inside, might ditch it all together.
Im more of a forum reader so replying is a bit new to me. How do i get the money to you?

Well here we go,results of my latest investment-
The blue data represents what the bike was doing with a TEC cam installed almost 10 moths ago.I have had no tuning done (until today)after installing the cam.Two years ago I had a PCv installed, and tuned at that time by another tuner. From memory after that tune the HP was around 93.
So in summary,
93 HP after installing PCv(with Meerkat xpipe,DNA filter, still had the snorkel in at that time from memory.
97.27 HP after installing TEC cam
103.45 HP today after TUNE ECU,all tuned professionally.

Don't suppose you have the AFR graphs do you?

I like the way that cam flattened and extended the torque curve. It's the torques that provides the acceleration I enjoy. HP is highly overrated unless except when racing where every bit of top speed matters. Most street riders never take advantage of all the HP they have available.

This. Most street riders chase the HP figures.. not sure why... its all about the torque and where/how its delivered.

Yes, all of that is happening. I've been busy tuning bikes all winter, A&J Cycles was going to put something together and partner with me, but I decided to go about putting something together as business has been picking up this winter. I have a 100% done, no further tweaking needed tune to suit the 900cc and 1200cc (yes, 1200HT and 1200HP) bikes, all based on real world data. PM me and we can talk, while I find the time to put together an honest to god webpage of my own with the ease to Purchase directly from me, rather than chase me down on Triumph RAT or elsewhere.

No Diva,I did attempt to contact you by email, but after waiting for a week or two with no response,I decided to go to a professional tuner .But if the results look similar to yours, that is purely a coincidence. The dyno graphs that I posted show the name of the local tuner(Brisbane Australia),this guy is also a successful drag racing champion.

Diva, you must have me confused with another Dave(too many Daves as Dr Seuss wrote in one of his stories).Other than my attempted email some time in December,I have had no other correspondence with you.My attempt to send you an email was done by clicking on the email address that you published in this thread.I have just checked my sent items, and nothing shows up,so clearly I have stuffed up.So no fault of yours.

I think it's cool where it and where it's at for you diva. Questions about the thruxton r maps you have on the site. Is the map based on an oem bike or a bike with the common mods like x pipe, drop in air filter, mufflers? Does it work well with cam'd bikes?

Just installed a tune from TheDivaDanielle and returned from my first ride. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!

ALL the low rpm snatchyness is gone (Booster Plug removed only about 75% of it and that’s why I sold my booster plug).

2019 Speedmaster pulls harder everywhere. SO much fun!

Thank you Danielle for great work at a reasonable price and a 24h turn around time... very happy customer.

You will need an Android tablet or phone because the TuneEcu app is for android only. The app is cheap at the Google store.
The tune must be stored in a folder the that the app can access. If you aren’t comfortable with this part I’m sure you know someone who can help.
Instructions on how to upload the tune can be found on TuneEcu’s site - takes about 15min.
The tune really transforms the bike - best value out there in my opinion.
If you lived close by I’d load it with you.

Hey retjustdad, looking forward to seeing your new times for the quarter.Like you ,I have a mate who has a Rocket III.I have challenged him ,and hopefully will get a chance to test out my new tune in the heat of battle once our hot weather has moved on.Unlike you,I do not have a lot of experience down the strip.I will have to get a lot of practice under my belt getting the launch spot on.My mate's Rocket is far from stock standard, huge intake pipes and plenty of tuning similar to what we are doing with the Thruxtons at the moment.Anyhow, should be fun.

#228 ·
The original Rockets are tough bikes to launch and shift poorly going to 2nd and 3rd. My buddies Rocket recently did 147 on the dyno and I was maybe 86 to 90 horsepower max during our battles.

With stock gearing on a cold track (spring or early summer) with normal tire pressure and standard gearing get you RPM up to a steady 5400 to 5500 rpm once you light the first staging light. Don't launch from the car tracks move over a few inches outside the rubber patches, the car rubber tracks provides too much traction on a cold track and will cause you to bog or wheelie.

Make sure your in sport mode with traction control turned off. Launch when you see the third yellow light on the Christmas tree. If wait to launch on seeing the green light you'll lose at least .1 seconds.

Once you launch and your clutch is fully out and throttle fully open quickly and smoothly bring both feet up to the pegs together. 2nd gear is the hardest to get right it is critical not to bounce off rev limiter try and make your shifts around 7000 rpm. Preload your shifter after your shift to 2nd gear and it will be faster and keep you from missing a shift.

Missing shifts cost about .1, hitting rev limiter at least .01 seconds each. You should be ahead enough at the 1/8 mile that he won't catch you. The nature of his bike will likely cost him time. He probably won't run any better than a 12.5 or any worse than 12.9.. You will be no worse than 12.7 and probably be under 12.5 plus you can beat his reaction times for your safety margins.
