2016 t120. Hit the starter then click click click...

Bike is usually on trickle charger except last two weeks. Five minutes on trickle charger and bike started up. Can the battery be shot already? Any other issues with the bike Iím not aware of?

Yes. Batteries go bad and they just need to be replaced. Although two weeks is more than long enough to drain a battery. Keep an eye on it

I get that. Iím questioning it due to the fact that just 5 minutes on trickle charge was enough to charge it. Will check the voltage after lunch. Thanks

Ah....it was probably just weak from sitting. I'd bet the battery is fine

Have your battery load tested and then you'll know if it's good or bad.

Iíve heard the ecu wants a minimum amount of voltage to start. If itís below that threshold, no go. Perhaps your battery voltage was just below the threshold. That is why it only took a short while on the charger to get it over the hump.

Thatís my guess..

A load test of the battery will tell... not a volt meter. The battery must hold voltage under load.

So I just tested the battery. 12.87 prior to ignition. 14.21-14.26 at idle w high beam on. 14.25 pretty steady at 5k rpms. Itís off the trickle charger so Iíll test it again in about 2 hrs. It cxled my ride today but I think Iím ok.
