Help- Fuel Leak
I removed the fuel tank the other day to hard-wire a GPS and after removing all the electrical connections and hose underneath the tank, I ended up disconnecting the banjo bolt to take the fuel tank completely off the frame. Re-fit everything back once the wiring was done and didn't take the bike out since then.
This morning, when I went out for a ride, I smelled strong petrol/gas which at one point became unbearable. Checked the sides of the bike for any leak but there was none.
Reached home, unbolted the tank and saw petrol drops on the banjo bolt. Tightened it a bit but the leak kind of increased. Tool off everything and fit the bolt again, this time with both the washers in the bolt (like in the exploded view below) and the tank became a fuel fountain. Gave up and wrapped up for the day.
Anyone know what I am doing wrong or any idea how to fit the banjo bolt correctly? There is no instruction in the service manual and nothing on the internet which can help shed some light.
