Just took delivery of a 2017 Street Scrambler (brought it home in an enclosed trailer). I looked through the Owners Manual and over the bike for a sticker, but was unable to find the recommended tires pressure. Anybody know where they can be found? Also, any workshop manuals available? :Anyone
Look for a VIN sticker just behind the steering head on the right and partly obscured by the tank. Had production date and usually PSI too, at least it was there on the air/oil-cooled bikes.
Dont forget to let em down when/if you go bush bashing. Last time i went serious on mine i forgot and had no traction on some pretty rough terrain. No fun having a 210 kg bike slippin and slidin trying to find grip.
On my enduro bike i run 8 to 12 psi but cant really do that on a heavy beast so i go down to 20 in mud etc. You can still get to a servo on 20 to top up more air on the way home.
Thanks lambroving. I took a look & there's a bunch of wiring in that area & the lettering on the sticker is really tiny - VERY difficult to read, so I quit trying & hope the owners manual is correct. Kind of surprised it wasn't under the seat, on the chain guard or on the frame near the seat lock. Wonderful bike - can't wait to ride it!
Update, i used the recommended tyre pressure yesty, too high for my liking dropped it down on the rear to about 3 seconds, left the front at 26. Still no good offroad, harsher than a harsh something or other.
