So it begins... T100 ownership around the corner

So it begins. Starting a new job in Rotterdam (larger city in The Netherlands) with horrible highway traffic jams and not close enough to any station to use public transport.
Well thats my excuse to my girlfriend.

So I just booked a testdrive on a new T100 with the full intent of buying it.
(Chose the T100 because it's going to be 95% citydriving and almost no highway)

I'm just really torn between 2 versions, the T100 black and the Aegean blue version.
What would you guys pick and why?

If it's just for town work did you consider the Street Scrambler?

I did, but I prefer the looks of the T100.
Is it a better bike? (otherwise I need to reconsider)

Why not test ride both to find out. I like mine but haven't ridden a T100 so I can't compare. I would think the SS has more low down torque?

Good point.
Both have the max torque at 3200rpm, so no difference. The Scrambler has 10 bhp more than the T100.

ok, mine is a 2018 model with max torque coming in around 2850 I think but it sounds as though that might be immaterial in the traffic you describe!

I would get the Aegean blue one but I like two-tone bikes. The blacked out bikes look cool but I think I'd get tired of that look once the novelty wore off.

The blue ! The black ones to me look boring and utilitarian, not to mention they will require a lot more cleaning and polishing to stay clean looking. The blue looks gem like, i just love it. But it's subjective so not sure what good advice is on that aspect. But you asked so there ya go.

On a side note i have seen a few reviews where the riders said they have ridden both and that they felt the T100 was a nicer ride than the 120 in several ways. They really loved the 100 by comparison. That kinda bothered me because if i get one of the twins i want the 1200 engine, as I'll be coming off a 1700 Tbird with custom tune and i'm afraid of too big a power downgrade. But those reviewers just made the 100 sound so great.

The blue just pulled me in. I melted. I read the same reviews as you did and they all said the T100 handled better. The T100 came out a year after the 120 and they made some changes that improve on the basic design. Go for it.
