Scrambler 1200 XE shocker

Let me say it's the best bike I've owned , best handling out the box as well, watched a YouTube video of a guy having his bike checked over by a ohlins specialist...the thing the guy picked up straight away was the shocks on the rear had been set up differently ..so I checked mine and guess what ..different settings from each other ..so I actually did the same settings he did in the video , turn fully clockwise on compression (top) then 14 clicks back , same on bottom rebound fully clockwise and 17 clicks back...it is truly amazing how smooth and comfortable they are now..no more vibes...I advise everyone to check their own ...im 240lbs so not sure if these settings would be ideal for everyone...but damn is it smooth on the back end now ! ..also been in touch with dart about a flyscreen for it , reckon up to 2 months before they have one !

Yeah, mine were set up different too. Just dialled them both all the way out

Interesting, went and checked mine as well. Both compression were set to 15, but the left side rebound was at 13 and right side was at 15. Dialed them both to 14 on the compression and 17 on the rebound to see how things feel different.

That's not so bad - one of mine was set to standard, the other to sporty. Quality control FTW!

Now, if they come out with a comfort seat and a top box, it might be practical to own.
My wife sat on the back of one and said it was the worst seat ever. We own a Thruxton with a comfort seat that looks almost identical and she doesn't complain about that.
We also did a seat test with the new KTM 790 and though the seat was hard as a brick, she liked it better than almost anything. Good contours and leg room.

Your 240lbs will definitely help smooth things out Having the bike setup by a professional (to raise the rear and change the tender spring for your weight, as it was also pointed out by the Ohlins tech) would make it even better but if you are happy with them, might as well enjoy and put that money towards gas. I'm 200lbs and couldn't stand the harshness of the stock shocks. I had the tender springs replaced. I no longer feel like I'm being punched in the kidneys on the medium to large bumps, and the handling improved drastically, bike feels 50lbs lighter.

Do you have a source for the tender springs, or did your shop have to special order them? It doesn't look like too difficult a swap, I wouldn't mind trying a higher rate. Thanks!
