Anyone think of a solution to the side stand ........... Depending on which footwear I have it can be very annoying getting the heel on the ball to get it down. My pair of Sidi boots have an angled heel and if itís wet I just end up reaching down with my hand.
Solutions please on the back of a postcard to Ireland.

Just heat up the rod that the "ball" is on and slightly bend it to a more accessible position.

For those that have done the decat, do you get much exhaust stink/fumes?

Aside from when I first picked the bike up, I haven't had any issues. I've gotten comfortable with where the ball falls, between the foot peg and shift lever and directly below the linkage for the shift lever, I just put my foot between the two and have had no issues finding it and engaging the side stand. I can do it easily in slippers (testing), sneakers and boots without issue.

The price for better lean angle, Iíve got about 3 different boots I use. It can be done but you might just maybe want to practice with the ones giving you the biggest issue? And then use that technique on all the boots.

Here's my lash-up solution, it's intended to be temporary until I think up a more elegant solution...

My Alpine Stars boots have tapered heels, almost impossible to find the stand without this mod.
