Street Scrambler rack attachment query

Picked up my new SS today - delighted so far despite at least 3 car drivers trying to kill me on the way home.

Obviously, as soon as I did get home, I started to tinker.

I'm expecting the grab rail/rack thing to arrive later in the week and have looked both at the bike and the online fitting instructions.

I can see where the big fitting bolts go under the rear cowl, and I understand from another thread that i can retain the cowl etc as long as I fit longer bolts, however...

Where does the forward most fittings attach? The online instructions show a cutaway in the trim and a chassis hole to bolt through, but unless I'm mistaken, I have neither.

I've had the cowl off and looked at the 4 bolts under there, that bit's obvious.

It's where the front bolts attach. I'm sure it will become clear when I offer the rack up

From memory, it's been a while since I ditched the mudguard, there's 2 nut and bolt fixings for the guard around the middle area. That could be it.
From one tinkerer to another, take em off, have a look, check out the tail light set up etc. Just because you can, no real reason otherwise. Idle Hands and all that jazz.

I'll have a fiddle when I get home.

I'm determined to spend more time riding this bike rather than fiddling with it as I have done with some in the past

Does triumph have a top box that you can mount in place of the pillion seat?

Not in place of the pillion seat, but behind it.

And, if I understand correctly, either takes the Triumph top box or a Givi Monolock box.
