Dart Marlin

I'm really happy with the Dart Marlin flyscreen that I fitted on my T120. Gives me close to the same wind protection that I had on my Tiger 800. Reasonably priced, a cinch to install, IMHO looks great on the T120 and provides adequate wind protection for short trips.

Dart Classic

I managed to send the National Cycle screen I started this thread about to NYC with the new owner of my Ural. Kept the Givi screen that was on the Ural and then I bought the Dart Classic screen. Looks very unobtrusive on the bike. Looking forward to seeing how the Dart does and maybe trying the Givi 14" screen for cold weather.

Triumph long haul screen

I'm interested in buying a windshield and I like OEM products, but the Long Haul screen is $385.00, more than twice the price of Givi and National Cycle. Is Triumph's screen that much better, is it worth it?

I got the Long Haul screen thrown in with the t120 purchase. I’m 5’9”. The dealer said it would direct air over my head. The wind blast hits me in the neck. So for me, it’s useless, especially in summer when I prefer a half helmet. If your goal is to only protect your chest, the Long Haul would probably work. Depends on how tall you are. Otherwise, I see no disadvantage to using a Dart Marlin, especially if you use a full helmet.

That said, I got a Clearview screen which is 6” taller than the Long Haul and mounts to the Long Haul hardware. This keeps the wind off my face but creates a lot of turbulence around the sides and back. Apparently you can get a clip on piece, as in Puig, that would solve the wind in the face issue, but it looks butt ugly.

I went many years behind windshields and was worried that I would not like my Triumph without one. I was wrong. It bought me back to motorcycling again, but for the colder weather I was wondering if I should get a shield. Should I get a barn door or something less. The triumph Long Haul is a big price to pay for a experiment. Thanks for your input

No. The Triumph Long Haul in my opinion is a rip-off in terms of both function and price.

I love my Givi A603. This is the 2nd bike I've had one on.
The reason I like the small bar mounted screens is that the I can adjust the height and angle to suit. It takes some time, but with some adjusting and test riding I have smooth air and effective coverage. And I believe it looks good on the Bonnie.

It does not matter where you go, how you got there, or how long it took you, someone on a Triumph Bonneville has done it before you. If you didn't do it on a Triumph, it doesn't really matter anyway.

The A630 not offered by Givi. Would the A660 fit?

Oops, sorry. My keyboard dyslexia acts up sometimes. That should be A603. I fixed my post.
Any 1 one of them will fit. It's just 2 bar clamps, one on each side. the clamps fit the Bonnie bars perfectly, the included bushings that sleeve the clamps down for thinner bars won't be needed. The headlight cutout fits the Bonnie headlight perfectly. I thought about the A660 myself, but I preferred the lower and wider A603

Thanks for the honest opinion. I was trying to be fair about the Triumph windshield, but you stated the obvious. I'm now going to direct my search to Givi and National Cycle. Thanks for not beating around the bush.
