For $450 , its a better value than buying a new Speed Twin .

Good on them. Nice to have a company working on new stuff for these bikes. I’m not as interested in changing the cam in the Thruxton as I was in the (restricted) 900. It spins up to the redline in a heartbeat as it is and too much throttle just causes the traction control to intervene. That’s with X pipe and V&H pipes and BMC filter and I’m totally happy with the way it runs. Perhaps a more tempting option for a T120 or people who “need” the hp.

I might do it later though.

I have done top end work on my Bobber including stock & two purpose made cams, for most people TEC's 1200 drop in cam would be the single easiest/cheapest most effective bolt-on power mod available bar none.
It does not have wild specs, moderate lift but event timing is MUCH improved, getting rid of the negative overlap.

But what about the better brakes/suspension lower weight ?
I am going to buy a speed twin & then put a cam in it, best of both worlds.

I am not sure I am willing to pay the $5-6k difference between my 2016 T120 and the new SpeedTwin . I would be all for it , if it was better priced . I will be curious to see how much difference there will be between both moto's .
