They've gone to town on the Speed Twin to keep the weight down to 196kg dry with that gurt big lump of a motor in it eh. I rec'n it's gonna be a great B road bike. Not mythered about cruise control, I wouldn't be taking it on Motorways. Heated grips are something never had or felt a need for, must have either warm hands or good gloves

Triumph had the specs wrong and have updated their page. I have updated my post with the new(and old) specs of the Street Twin.

Yeah I've never seen just 19 lbs between dry and wet weights, that's absurdly low. 35-45 lbs much more typical.

The Triumph USA website shows the dry weight of the New Street Twin as 436.5 lbs and the dry weight of the (old) Street Twin as 437 lbs. Motorcyclist Magazine weighted the (old) Street Twin for a July 2016 comparison test and reported a dry weight of 461 lbs and wet weight of 480 lbs. Would guess the weight of the new Street Twin to be similar to that of the old model.

Was a typo and they must have seen it on our conversation
I corrected my post with the new specs

Regarding the (old) Street Twin weights reported by Motorcyclist Magazine in their July 2016 test. The 480 lbs / 461 lbs weights were reported as tank full / empty, respectively. Guessing the weighs in both measures include oil and other miscellaneous fluids, with the 19 lbs difference being accounted for by about 3.2 gallons of gas.

That would be nice but it is not standard on most of the other bikes IIRC, so not sure why it should be standard on the Speed Twin. I don't need either, well the heated grips would be nice but then I can't use the barrel grips which I prefer for hand comfort.

Ouch!
That's a lot of scratch for a modern classic.

Yes but although many models are built here, we seem to always get charged more than Europe/USA??
Please donít ask me why, as Iíve no idea the logic behind this Ďrip-offí
Deposits can be taken here now for delivery in Nov2019 (unless thatís a typo?)
