Anyone know if the new WC T100 tank badges will fit the T120? They are much more retro looking. Tank capacities are the same so I’m hoping it’s any easy fit....
You two are on to something!
The T100 tank badge is better looking than the stock T120 (I.M.O.,... anyway).
Our local dealer is having his open house event this weekend. I think that will be a good time to check on the fitment and cost of T100 badges!!
Yeah but I’m not that keen. I know they are replicas of one of the old styles, but actually still looks quite Batman. The T100 is more like the old style retro badges which imo are much nicer.
The T100's plastic tank badges will fit the T120 just fine. The T120's badges are chromed metal, as are the T120 badges sold by Triumph through dealers.
Badges on the T120 are held in place by screws, hidden by covers that are secured with contact adhesive. Those covers are very difficult to remove without damage. They're very thin, and are easily deformed.
Well I just ordered a set of T100 badges - I’ll let you know how it goes.
Me too, on Saturday when I picked up the new T120. I was told one side was on back order and would be a couple (or a few) weeks. He didn't say which side ...
Badges are very personal. I think Triumph did a nice job with the original 2016, T120 badges. It's pays homage to the 60's Bonneville without being a direct copy. The bikes are really different but share a common heritage. The modern badge reflects that. I think.
I have the same bike / paint scheme. Been wanting to swap out the "batman" badges for months but can't find OEM T100 badges except through a dealer. Where did you find those badges you installed? Thanks.
If you don’t mind a little custom work on the badges, the chrome metal badges from the new Speedmaster fit the bill - put them on mine this last winter. Had to drill a mount hole in the badge and tweak the adhesive in the insert, but really like the look ... wish I had taken pics of the custom work before mounting. No changes made to the tank. The badges do fit the contour of the tank ...
looks great! would like to see a side by side pic. i like my 18 T120 badges but the look a bit smallish compared to the T100's. that 60's bonnie pic is a beauty + the best lookin Bonnie ever built IMO! i had a 70 T120R + swapped for the stainless fenders on an earlier model! i would love a bonnie that looks like that today minus the numbing vibes that cracked those heavy stainless fenders!!
Glad I checked in here to confirm my decision to replace my 2018 T120 tank badge with the T100 badge. I spoke with my deaier who priced them at around $76 if I recall correctly. I was debating between this and getting the chrome 4-bar aftermarket badge. Decisions, decisions. I'll try the T100 badge and see whether it's the answer. If not I can always get the chrome 4-bar badge later. Thanks
I agree the T100 tank badges look better than the T120 badges, but ultimately I decided on the chrome 4-bar badge for my black and chrome 2018 T120, and I’m very glad I did.
looks are a personal choice + i am presently shopping for OE t-100 or speedmaster badges. metal is better but "plastics" can be quite good these days IMO
I had those bars on my Speedmaster and really liked them. Did you have enough brake line and cables or did you have to change them out? That's the only thing holding me back.
called Hermys + was told 3 days to get T100 badges then ship to me FREE
