T120 Luggage/Saddlebags Thread

I am currently in the R&D mode for luggage options on the T120 so I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread dedicated to our options for luggage. I did a forum search and found a few different threads with stuff but figured it might help us all and new comers to a have a dedicated thread for luggage. So I'm considering the OEM Saddlebags and the SW Motech Legend Saddlebags at this point, so any comments for and against as well as pictures would be great. Lets get a comprehensive thread going here for everyone...........

My vote goes for the SW-Motech Legend...just looks great on these bikes. Too bad they are not able to use their cool removable setup when you remove the bags. In the case of the Legends, a frame/bracket is left fixed on the bike. But these are great looking.

Ride safe!

I second the legend series. I have a set in my basket on Revzilla. Just need to sell me left side solo bag that I bought for my Scrambler. I really liked the bag. I bought the 9.8 last time. This time I'll choose the 13.5 liter bag. Plus now I can run two! Ha ha.

I think I am in agreement, those legend bags almost look like they were made for the T120 Black. Now time to start saving the cake.......

The frame doesn't look too bad when the bags come off. Here you can see it on the ST

Okay, first off, no offense here but to me the hard cases look out of place on the T120 with the exception of ammo boxes......I like the soft bags on the T120 personally and thats all subjective, so YMMV. My guess is the hard cases in person don't look quite as bad as the photos and I know for sure the lockable hard case is sweet for daily use, but for me I don't think I could do it on this bike. Maybe if you convert it to more of a scrambler/adventure look it might flow better. I know that its all personal taste etc...but this T120 is gorgeous and I just can't bring myself to disrupt that.........Legends bags are in my future I do believe.

Wow, $204 for just 1 SW-MotoTech bag! You need two... Plus any other stuff you need to mount it. It may be good, but is a set really worth close to three times as much as most other saddle bags on the market? So often when I buy something like that, I end up regretting paying the high cost of getting "the best", which usually ends up under-impressing me.

I was about to place an order with this guy http://www.surplusbikebags.com/ but then I found a set of his bags for sale in the TR classifieds. Really good looking bags. Still need the bag supports. I think these will work. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/sw-mo...0-16-left-side

The OEM waxed cotton pannier set is $650 and not as nice, so there's that.
