He was forced to use the tractor engine. He's really something of a genius. Taught Harley what they needed to do to keep their rubber mounted crap from sending their riders into speed wobbles. Taught the entire motorcycle world the importance of mass centralization. Developed the underslung exhaust and perimeter rotor. Used the frame as an oil tank.
^ wish I could move back to FL for year round riding. I ride year round anyway, but a negative 10 windchill takes a bit of the fun outs things. Nice ride, btw.
I test rode a Chief and Chieftan about 2 months ago and they are sweet bikes. Not what I need now but if I was looking for a touring ride it would be on the list of considerations. Handles extremely well for its size!
I got the grom when i still had my Road King so it was nice to have something light and small. It reminds me of the mini bike i had as a kid. It is kind of an outlet for when i want to act like a kid and wheelie or something. I have a short commute and it gets about 100 miles to the gallon so it has some practicality but mostly a toy. I don't ride it as much now that i have my T120 but it is just fun. If i could only have 1 bike it'd be tough to pick between the two.
I love my Grom too. Too bad it won't start... I'm hoping it's not the engine but I am thinking it probably is. I have a BBK on mine.
When I get on that bike I feel like a kid. I just love going around the neighborhood.. almost feels like when you would ride with your buddies in the neighborhood and then kids from the other side of the neighborhood would join in too.
My other rides. My Moto Guzzi V7 Classic which I`ve owned for 3 years, a Tiger Explorer 1200, which I`ve owned for nearly 4 years, and my recent acquisition, a used 2016 T120.
Thanks for the compliment.
The bike is actually in Modesto right now, at Modesto Custom, getting some pre-existing issues sorted out.
Whenever you buy a used bike there is always something....
Never been there myself (they have really grown over the years when I haven't had a bike) I've heard they do great work, and have great customer service.
I just got off the phone with the transport company, my Street Twin is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow morning.........
