At 225# geared, I'm going to beef up my front/rear suspension over the winter regardless. I'll also need to aim the headlight come spring. The swap was well worth it more me, with my 95% road bias riding. The bike handles/rides awesome with the new Bridgestone A41 tires installed..
Keen for an update from this setup if you're still around? i assume you're bike has ABS, you dont get any ABS errors occur?

Still around . Everything is working out great! No error codes of any kind re: ABS/TC/speedo. Very happy with the wheel swap. When I travel, I leave inner tubes/tire spoons at home and carry a (very) mini air compressor and tire plug kit. Before/after pix attached ..

Out of curiosity, do you often make the wheel switch? Changing the disks and sprocket, I guess it takes aroud one hour to do so?

Have not/don't plan on switching the wheels around. My only off roading will be gravel roads/hard packed trails. No spare rotors, so I'd need to pick up a few. If I ever sell the bike, I'll offer the prospective buyer what ever combo they'd want.

I have been shopping for an XRx but am now considering including XCx/a in my search with a similar full-time swap.
Thanks for the inspiration, this is brilliant given that the XC__ versions get a more feature rich suspension and seem to be more prevalent in the used market.
