What the hell? Top box install......

I put a SW-Motech steel top rack on my '18 Tiger 1200. I also bought the adapter kit for the Givi Monokey top boxes. I thought the Triumph Expedition top case was just a rebranded 42L Givi Outback top box and would be good to go.

But today, I received my top box and installed the Monokey fit kit. But when I went to pop the box on, it doesn't fit. The distance from the bobbins at the front and the latch is too close. And there are no other points that the bobbins can screw in to.......WTH? Anyone?

Yep, that's how they planned it. You have to use all Givi or all Triumph pieces. You can't mix and match.

I do believe with some careful measuring and drilling you can relocate the bobbins.
