Discovered the fuel pump housing was damaged probably from rough handling during shipping from Anchorage to Washington last winter. Leaving the tank bone dry while painting it likely did in a seal that could have been damaged in the above mentioned rough handling. The guys at DMC said the crate was in rough shape when it arrived at their shop. I also found two of four snaps that hold the two halves of the housing together undone from being banged around. A friend of mine who races Triumphs told me to look for this as they automatically change out pumps if a bike crashes or goes down hard.
