Got one!

Hey everyone,
Long time member here but yesterday a 2015 TBLT followed me home. Being a newbie with it Im looking for any advice on ownership. Anything the manual is wrong about? Anyone have any accessories still available for this bike? I do have a great dealer that will help if needed.

Thanks in advance.

Another Thunderbird in Wisconsin, awesome. Agree with Mikerunsjax, let see some pics. If you're in Southern Wisconsin Team Power Sports in Janesville is awesome. They've always taken great care of my Storm whenever I've needed assistance with anything I couldn't take care of at home. Enjoy the new ride.

Team Triumph is the best dealer period! I'll do a nice detail and snap some pics, fear not.
Also, my Tiger manual said to have the motor warmed up before you check the oil- but in reality it made no difference. Is the TB the same?

Have an LT with 25,000 Kms on it. My tips on maintaining are,
you will hear and read a lot about drive belt squealing. The manual setting is too tight. I set it at spec then back it off on both sides 1/8 turn. Never have a problem.
The rear wheel bearings are a potential problem. Itís a cheap part so worth replacing every time you change the rear tire.

A beautiful bike Don, looks just like mine

I suggest you ride it a bit before thinking of accessories. There aren't may Triumph accessories left (they sold them off a while back). The best changes I have made to mine are:

Rider backrest from Utopia https://www.utpr.com/thunderbird.html
Handlebar risers from Jack be Quick (sadly he doesn't make the lifting brackets any more) https://jack-be-quick.com/products/t...-lt-2014-2017/

The LT is a fantastic touring bike (particularly for 2 up touring) but take a light weight cover for it when parked up, the panniers don't like the rain and will quickly deteriorate (the leather starts to buckle and they fall out of shape). Yours still look perfect!

Enjoy the bike you are going to love it!
