HID lighting

Anybody try converting the stock headlight on the thunderbird to a true HID system? Seems possible, concerned about the depth of the socket to the front of the lens as a HID bulb is longer.

I changed my lens and just put the PIAA bright bulb in and seems to do the trick. Not as bright as the HID but easy.

Which model/color PIAA are you using? I use them in my truck and love them. Whats the model/vendor on the lens?

Thanks
John

I replaced mine with the PIAA H4 motorcycle version (vibration resistance) and it really improved the headlight a lot. Cheapest upgrade you can make to your bike, and well worth the few bucks.

What if there were no hypothetical questions?

Then I used the PIAA 55w bulb
